I stayed here for 1 night while attending an awards dinner. I stay at hotels all over the world on business and this is the WORST I have stayed at.
I checked into my room which was on the ground floor and I noticed the road noise was very loud. I went to the window and noticed it was not quite closed. On closer inspection I found the window latch was broken so it would not close or lock. Another guest had obviously had trouble with the road noise as they had shoved tissue paper into the gap in the window.
So I went to reception and asked to change rooms: 1. I was concerned about the noise, 2. I was concerned about leaving my bag in a room on the first floor with a window open to the street.
I was told the hotel was full and that there were no other rooms available. I asked if I could be moved to another comfort inn and was told no.
My options were pay for the room and stay in it, or have a refund and leave. I was not offered any discount or refund to stay.
I had no option but to stay as I had to be at an awards dinner in 30 minutes.
I stayed and had a terrible nights sleep because of the noise and worrying that any second someone might force their way through the window. In the morning I had a shower and the shower drain was blocked and over flowed.
The next day I had an email from the hotel asking "how my stay was" I reiterated the above and was basically told to go away in the subsequent emails.
So AVOID AVOID AVOID..... Don't bother staying here, their attitude stinks
Tiny rooms

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. It is far too small. The bed is a small double, one side is against the wall and there is a small gap berween the other side of the bed and the wall. The bed was not big enough for two. I barely slept being crammed against the wall and the air con was very noisy too. There was barely enough space in the room to get changed. The only plus side was the bathroom was ok and it was clean.
Great Value, Friendly staff!

We stayed at the Comfort Inn Hyde Park in Sept as the first stop in London on our honeymoon. We arrived before check-in looking very dishevelled but when luckily were advised by the friendly staff that they could check us in early as our room was ready! We were very grateful.
We stayed in the superior double room, this is the most expensive room they have but we felt like we wanted more wriggle room (.
The room was still smallish but clean and comfortable with everything you need in a fantastic location. Breakfast consisted of cereals, toast, muffins and fresh fruit and croissants, the usual fare which was a welcome extra and one less meal to buy for the day. The hotel is located a 2 min walk from Queensway tube station and 5 mins to Bayswater station so perfect to get around the city easily, it's also a lovely walk through Hyde Park to the Natural History Museum among other sites of interest.
The staff in general were very helpful and friendly. The only downside was the wifi...it was a very weak connection if any connection at all..a staff member promptly came up to try and figure it out but I think they might need to update their tech or the position of the router. Other than that overall a easy and enjoyable stay would happily stay here again next time we visit London.
Cheap and Cheerful

This is a great hotel if you’re looking for the best location and no frills. We stayed for 4 nights and felt the hotel met our needs. We had a few minor issues with our room when we checked in such as the tv and swipe card not working, however the staff were all very helpful and resolved the issues immediately. The breakfast is generous and a nice way to start the day. We booked a small room and it was certainly small, but if you’re not bothered by size and only using the hotel as a base to sleep you won’t be disappointed.

The highlight of this hotel was that I didn't have any unpleasant experience and that is why I gave 2 stars. The staff where cooperative and kindly provided me an adaptor to charge my cell phone. The overall feel of the hotel was however, poor (read dingy). I agree that the high price is for the location but I believe the money spent at this hotel is not worth it. The breakfast was really bad as well. My advice is don't count on the breakfast at this hotel. Location is ok as it is quite close to the tube station and at a walkable distance from Paddington station.
