Staying in this hotel for 3 weeks while in CDL school. VERY pleasantly surprised. Very modern, very clean. Staff is friendly and attentive. Breakfast is great for a continental. Room is comfortable and clean. I would give it 6 stars if possible. Anyone that had a bad review would never be pleased.
DO NOT STAY HERE

This was absolutely the worst hotel experience I have ever had. My collegiate equestrian team traveled to Miami University this past weekend, and chose to stay at this hotel because of it's convenient location to the equestrian facility. We had a block of 8 rooms, and we were bringing 31 girls with us. Upon checking in, we immediately checked our room for bed bugs, and found stains on our mattress that looked to be bed bug egg stains (searched "bed bug egg stains mattress" on google). We called the front desk to see if someone could come upstairs, and the red-headed woman working the front desk rudely responded saying she could come up "in a little bit" or change our room. When I asked "how long is a little bit," she replied with "well, a little bit." We requested a room change, because "a little bit" was not going to cut it, and when we went downstairs for a new room key, she condescendingly talked to myself and my teammate and brushed off the bed bug issue. After our room change, we checked the rest of the seven rooms to ensure there were no more issues, only to find that there were (see photos). When we went back downstairs, we were, again, talked to condescendingly by their employee named Jim. He was extremely rude and didn't offer any decent help except for a room with a king bed that four girls were expected to stay in, and a room that reeked of smoke. His solution for a "non-smoking" room that overwhelmingly smelt of smoke was a spray can of "Snuggle," so clearly they have no decent solution to properly clean up rooms when smoking occurs. He proceeded to tell us that we could change hotels, but there were no other rooms anywhere else, and he responded "well there's your problem." This was unacceptable, because he and the bed bugs at this hotel were the problem. We ended up switching one rooms and had to shove three girls in that king bed, which also smelled disgusting. Upon speaking with the manager on Saturday morning, he told us that his staff would be able to offer us discounts, but no refund unless bed bugs were checked (which no one did). There was a helpful employee on staff Saturday evening that put price adjustments in the system for only a few rooms, and we were told that they would show up on our bills. Upon checking out on Sunday morning, Jim was at the front desk again, and the discounts did not show up. He was EXTREMELY rude to us, did not offer any compensation or any way to help us except for handing us his manager's business card. This hotel was the worst place I have ever stayed at, we do not plan on bringing our business here EVER again. On top of this issue, a few of our girls still eating breakfast overheard Jim speaking to another employee about how we refused his offer for compensation at check-out, and that we stormed out and did not want "his help," which is NOT what happened. He was rude and unhelpful, and clearly did not take us seriously or respect all of the issues we had. Whatever you do, STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL.
Avoid the Jacuzzi Rooms

There must be water issues at this hotel. We got a jacuzzi room and throughout the night and morning there would be an occasional waft of something awful, like sour water and rotten cabbage, we believe it was from the jacuzzi. It gave us a headache/nausea. The toilet was broken, it didn't want to flush, so we had to use a trashcan to pour water in and flush it down sometimes. The pool had a passive aggressive note on the door about the temperature of the water, we assumed it was people being too nit picky but it turned out the water was unbelievably cold, that wouldn't have even felt good on a hot summer day, I quickly understood why we had it all to ourselves. We tried to get used to the water but even doing laps wasn't helping. The room is very warm but it did absolutely nothing for the water in the pool, they have no right calling that a "heated pool".
Aside from the water problems, the a/c didn't work well and was extremely loud, the wifi didn't work even after it was reset (we had iphone and android - it wouldn't work for either in our room), the TV kept turning off, we had to reset it several times to watch anything, and despite it being a nonsmoking room it reeked of smoke. I wasn't as concerned about this but there was something all over the ceiling, it might just be dirt, but potentially mold.
In any event, this might be an alright place if you just need a cheap place to sleep in a regular room for a night in your travels and you want free breakfast on your way out, but otherwise I would avoid it.
Rooms need a deep clean

We stayed here when on holiday in Cincinnati (going to the tennis). The receptionist was lovely, very welcoming and friendly. The room was large and well equipped. I was disappointed to find that there were cobwebs (and a spider!) around the window and the window area itself was generally grubby. On the first night there, we found 3 beetles in the room; one was dead. This worried me more than the live ones, as I wasn’t sure how long it had been there. In my search for other creepy crawlies, I noted that the carpet was particularly grubby in the corners and under chairs, which seemed to confirm my worries that the room hadn’t been vacuumed properly, and for some time. I took the dead beetle to the night manager who basically said “it’s a rural area, these things do get in the rooms, not much we can do”. He then assured me that they were harmless to humans. I also reported that I felt the room wasn’t as clean as I’d hoped, again, he didn’t seem overly concerned by this. I expected my feedback to mean that when I came back to my room the following day, they’d have given it a thorough clean, cobwebs, carpets and all… but no, it was still dirty and grimy.
Other than general cleanliness of the rooms, the beds were big and comfortable, the bed linen and towels were fresh. Breakfast was good, standard fayre, cereal, toast, waffles etc. We did want to use the pool but the smell of chlorine was too much, but I do think this is typical in American hotels. I'm sorry to have to give negative comments, especially as the rest of the hotel is good and the people were friendly, but I can't ignore the problems that we had.
Total Diaster

When we first checked in they gave us a room on the third floor and the Air Conditioning unit was so loud I left the room and went down to complain; the manager did give us another room on the first floor. The bed was uncomfortable, the toilet would not flush completely, no access to the internet throughout the hotel. When I inquired about the lack of internet service, the night manager told me he could not help us and offered to give me the name of a person that provides internet support. TV would not work, manager was no help to get that fixed. The free breakfast was lacking: cold sausage, powdered scrambled eggs, only one waffle maker, trash cans overflowing with garbage, manager was seen stocking the free breakfast with items which leads me to believe the hotel is short staffed. I have stayed at this hotel twice before and never had any issues; I will not stay here again, it has gone downhill from a service standpoint, On a positive note, once complained to General Manager, he did offer to make an adjustment of $65 off my hotel stay which cost over $200 for two nights. NEVER AGAIN.
