OK Hotel but Noisy

Was here for three weeks as I was in town on a job. Decent continental breakfast each morning, staff was friendly. Hotel is undergoing remodeling. Housekeeping staff were good but very noisy. Rather than wedge a room door open while cleaning, they would allow the room doors to slam against the security latch as they entered and exited the room to get supplies from their cart. It was very annoying and inconsiderate as this occurred for few hours each day. Next door to Outback Steakhouse and Texas Steakhouse (which now has a breakfast buffet). Close to the hospital and I-95.

stayed here over night while on way to south Georgia . basicaly this hotel is ok but they are in middle of a major over haul. new furniture and material all over ice machine on second floor out of service. however they had plenty of clean lines and breakfeast was fairley good. would stay here again if had a chance.

Do not stay here. It is under construction and should be closed. Our room was a wreck with construction dust, dirty windows, half finished painting, no baseboards and absolute junk for furniture. Beyond that the staff was rude and totally dismissive of complaints. “We put a sign up saying under construction”. Well fine, but how would we have known that when making a reservation a month ago? The place was still fully booked for all the baseball teams in for the weekend. They really don’t care at all and they are soaking unsuspecting customers who would never stay here otherwise. Beware even after construction is complete. Any business owner with such little regard for customers should not be rewarded with your patronage.

We stayed here on our drive down to Florida. Rocky Mount is a popular stop of road travelers, so I'd suggest booking ahead of time if you're planning on staying here to ensure yourself a room and a reasonable price! If you book last-minute both those things are subject to change! We arrived around 1am [we wanted to get really far in one day. Our goal was a little far-fetched if you couldn't tell from the time we arrived!]. The check-in was smooth, and the room was very clean, which is very important to me. The room was a comfortable temperature upon arrival, and we had a great sleep! The free breakfast offered a good selection, and the food was pretty good. Overall, I would definitely stay here again, as long as they have reasonable prices. It is right off the interstate, which is a must for travelers only looking for a clean place to rest. It's definitely what I expect of a Choice hotel!

Pros:
-Right off the interstate
-Free [and tasty!] breakfast with a great selection
-Nice staff

Cons:
None to speak of! I'm sure if we stayed longer than a night we would have found something, but I'm not looking to be nit-picky!

Construction Zone

I am writing this review from the hotel tonight. We checked in and we’re quite surprised to find that a full scale remodel was going on. I believe the remodel is a great idea and the result will be a nice property but maybe closing a floor at a time and not putting guests in rooms that aren’t finished...just saying. If you get a good price and can tolerate the construction zones then stay here. Otherwise, you might want to look elsewhere for a few months.
