Dear Manager--You Have Work To Do!!

I messed up and didn't make reservations soon enough for opening weekend pheasant season. So I took the first place I could find with 3 available rooms. Driving in, the building looks nice, the Lobby was lovely, and the check=in fast & easy. Our rooms were adjoining--nice, and looked lovely when we walked in. My first problem: The first night, a a group of young men were put in the room across the hall from us that were the MOST OBNOXIOUS,noisy, rude people we have ever had in a hotel. I put up with it for an hour--by midnite-thirty I called the front desk and complained. The young man-there by himself-acted like he had no idea what to do. He responded with a pleasant "yes mam" but nothing was done. In another hour they either had visitors come down the hall, or they moved their party right in front of our door. At this point, my husband opened the door (against my wishes!) and told them to knock it off or we were calling the Sheriff. In a few minutes they settled and we got to sleep from 1:30 to 4:00. Remember-Opening Day of Pheasant hunting-which is a huge deal here. My concern was not only for our safety, but the safety of the young men who were not given the tools to handle this situation. I spoke with the only person there on Saturday morning, and he offered sympathy.
Here's my second issue: It became quite obvious through the hallways, in breakfast room, Lobby restrooms, and guest rooms and bathrooms, that the cleaning staff were not doing their jobs. I could sort of ignore the obvious only clean in the middle job, but there were too many really digusting areas.......the toilet was dirty, the coffee pot and the tray it was on hadn't been cleaned since it was put there, and when I went to get into bed ( I always look under the covers into the bottom of the bed), I SAW A PAIR OF SOCKS THAT DIDN'T BELONG TO ME!!!!! Think about that one-YUCK. Again I call down to the desk--the young man left his desk to bring me a clean set of sheets. After I quite unpleasantly told him the story and told him he needed to make an incident report on this, he offered to remake my bed/ no thank you--and besides all this time there is NOONE at the widely open door in the front to see who might be bringing their party to my hallway---or worse! The hotel was not staffed for this big weekend in any way. My third issue: the breakfast room was large with a nice variety of choices--except nearly everything was empty. I went through the drawers & refilled what I could find and asked a cleaning man in the hallway for a rag to wipe off the dirty tables. Normally that person would offer to come wipe down the tables, right? He handed me a washcloth.. My forth issue: I would think with all these rather serious complaints I should have been offered at least a discount on these rooms--again NOPE. I am hopefully sending a copy of this to the manager directly at the hotel, as I am not sure they will read TripAdvisor. If you choose to stay here I hope you have better luck than we did, but seems like an ongoing problem to me.

The room was in need of repair, breakfast area was out of everything and it was never stocked, we could not even get a piece of toast, don't advertise breakfast if you are not going to have any, bed mattresses need updating

This was a stopping point as we drive to Utah. The place is older but it served its purpose. Clean and comfy beds. Pillows fluffy but older Staff nice. Breakfast free but very limited and small. Some of the reviews stated dirty and bugs but I didn't see that in the 2 rooms we had for the night. Not too far from town with a few restaurant choices. I'd stay here again
Easy Highway Access

We stayed here for one night on a road trip and it was OK. The room was nothing special. What we noticed the first thing into the room was the artifical fragrence. There were 2 air freshener plug-in which overwhelmed us.
The parking lot was being blacktopped when we arrived so unloading the car with a wheelchair user and dog was a bit inconvenient.
There is nothing asthetically pleasing about the area and there was a prison just down the road.
The front desk staff was ok enough.
Good overnight stay

Pulled off the freeway and had a choice of super 8 or quality inn. Ive stayed at both in the past so i flipped a coin, quality inn won. The clerk was nice, but he was young and didnt seem to know what he was doing. I eventually got my key and went to my room. It was adequate but the Comercials dont come close to matching the lessor quality of the hotel. That being said, it clean, tge bed was comfortable and it was worth the overnight stay.
