We stayed here overnight on a recent motorbike holiday through Tassie. Our room was very clean and comfortable, with a lovely view over the water. We had dinner at the The Pier hotel next door, which was also good. Nice walk around the river bank and Georgetown itself. The only thing I would suggest is some chairs/seats outside the rooms, as we had to take the dining chairs out of the room itself to be able to sit outside with a cuppa. Nice place, great value.

The rooms are The Pier are spacious, clean and comfortable. It had everything we needed, including a much needed heater and electric blankets (it was raining and freezing the night we were there!). Being in the first room right next to the drive through bottle shop was a concern, but there was hardly any noise at all. Our only complaint is that the restaurant didn't start serving meals until 6pm, but we had to do the Low Head Penguin Tour at 6.30pm, so we had to find dinner elsewhere. Otherwise we definitely recommend this place - we've stayed here twice already!

We arrived after driving for hours on a Sunday night and Peppers hotel didnt have there restuarant open so we turned up here at 7,30 and they said there kitchen was pretty much closing and they could NOT supply us anything - only pizza! so we left and went to the chinese restaurant not far from there.

We stayed at the Comfort Inn for the George Town Steampunk Festival. There were three of us in an apartment with two rooms. One room had two single beds, the other room had a double bed and a table and chairs. The bathroom connected the two rooms, and there was a small kitchenette. No loungeroom as such. The rooms were clean and warm (important for June in Tassie!). We had parking out the front.
The shower was hot with good pressure and there were plenty of towels.
Although we were really close to the pub, we weren't disturbed by the noise and we enjoyed a good night's sleep.
The cooked breakfast option was bacon and eggs. I would've liked to seen some variety there - a full english or even an eggs benedict option would be great. But the food was cooked well, it came out hot and there was plenty of it.
I'd really recommend the Comfort Inn as a good base to explore Georgetown, or just for a couple's retreat.

We stopped on our travels for lunch.
Great food. Atlantic grilled salmon and beer batter flatthead were so good.
Wine selection was great.
Accompanying salads and veg were tasty ... not just thrown together
