This place was a nightmare!
yari lon 11/10/2017 19:36This place has been the worse hotel I've spent money on. I highly recommend for you to keep away, they gave me a suit because there was no other rooms available. When I walked in to the restroom the toilet had pubic hairs and urine on it, it was disgusting. I tried calling room service and their phone was'nt working. When I got a hold of the receptionist instead of apologizing she said I could have money back and leave. I asked for a credit and she said she would give it to me and till this day I have not yet received anything. Maintenance is horrible.
America's WORST!
L7032XHrobertamon 19/07/2017 22:23Light bulbs missing above bathroom sink. Wires hanging down from the ceiling where a smoke detector is suppose to go. Very noisy neighbors that the office staff believed we should have tolerated. A threat from Doug in the office to call the police on us because we complained about the noise next door and he lack of action to correct this issue. Most miserable hotel stay ever!!!!
Never stayed - horrible to work with
jmurbanczykon 10/05/2017 17:40We booked for two nights in May but due to unforeseen circumstances we were unable to stay the second night. We knew this information three days before check-in so our change/cancellation request was well within the specified time. But due to this being a busy weekend the hotel wouldn't allow us to cancel the second night. We could cancel the entire reservation or pay for rooms we weren't using on the second night. Have you ever heard of being unable to change a reservation due to a busy weekend? I could understand if we were requesting extra rooms but we were giving the hotels rooms to book. It was graduation weekend so once we cancelled the entire reservation they were immediately booked. Hotels.com didn't mention anything regarding an inability to change a reservation anywhere on their site nor is that information in their Terms and Conditions. Yes, I read it. Add that to the hotel manager hanging up on my husband when we tried to call the hotel directly and you have an entire family who will no longer use either company. So - America's "BEST", you left 10 people without a place to stay to see a sweet girl graduation. Bravo.
american best value in sould be called the Abilene pig pen
Kaitlyn Kon 02/02/2017 19:47when i checked in, i was given a room on the 3rd floor. when arriving into the room, i noticed that the room hadn't been vacuumed so i looked further and seen the microwave had food in it and hadn't been clean. food splatter all over the back of the door. there was black mold in the air conditioner vent. the vending area was filthy. tables were so dirty and the floors hadn't been cleaned in forever. there was a used cotton swab sitting in the tray of the ice machine . do not get on the elevator because it isn't safe, it started moving with the doors still open. they did switch me rooms and when i got into the room, it was also dirty. there was melted chocolate in the microwave, tables were dirty, floors hadn't been cleaned in i don't know how long. there is so many health code violations in this hotel that i don't even know how they are even open. this hotel is very unclean and i personally think it is unsafe also. the pool area has a hot tub that is apparently out of order but they don't even have it roped off to keep people from falling in it and getting hurt. the breakfast was terrible also. the fruit was rotten and the orange juice was sour, tasted like it was out of date and the milk was sour. the cereal dispensers were so filthy.i wouldn't trust anyone to eat it cause you don't know how out of date everything is
Comfortable,Clean, and Affordable
jdhjordan23on 04/01/2017 22:49My family and I took a much needed vacation. On the way to Dallas from Odessa we decided to stop in Abilene to rest. After looking online we were amazed at the extremely high prices decent hotels in a good area cost until we finally found the America's Best Value Inn located near the mall. Recent reviews suggest the place is under new ownership and management so we decided to give it a shot. We were greeted by friendly staff and the beautiful lobby caught our attention immediately. Our room smelled great and it was apparent that some recent work has been done as there was not a speck of dust in sight. The continental breakfast was great, the kids ENJOYED the heated indoor pool, and best of all we stayed an extra day because the cost for one night at the other local hotels got us two nights at this one. I caught a replay of a boxing match on HBO that I missed and overall our stay was better than good; it was great. Highly recommend!
