We usually stay at Hampton Inns, but the one in Abingdon was full when I tried to make reservations, so I made a reservation at this Comfort Suites. I thought it was about the same as a Hampton Inn. The room we had was slightly larger than a Hampton Inn room, but there were some things that were not as good, such as the bathroom which had little space for toothbrushes, razors, etc. The clothes rod in the wardrobe was so low you could not hang a pair of trousers. The breakfast was fairly good.

Stayed here for 5 days. The girl at the front desk was extremely nice and helpful but the facilities were not up to par. This was the first time I have ever stayed in a hotel that they didn’t make your bed each day. We didn’t expect to have clean linens every day, but the beds covers weren’t touched or the furniture dusted in five days. Breakfast was disappointing also, the same non-fresh food every morning.

This is the first Comfort Suites I ever stayed in. I was impressed. My coworkers and I were in town for a conference, and were politely and immediately checked in. My room was beautiful and spacious. The room is great for a family. It had a generously sized fridge, microwave and coffee maker. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was absolutely perfect. It was a quiet and convenient stay. The breakfast was standard, but good. There was an array of food like sausage, fried eggs, yogurt, and continental items.

My wife and I stayed here for 4 nights the week of Oct. 9, 2017. Location was great. The employees were outstanding. Room was comfortable and quiet.
Kate, the manager, is a true professional, and has a staff that is beyond helpful. The breakfast is standard Comfort Inn fare, served in a very nice dining area with a view of the pool.

I booked a king suite at Comfort Suites through my Choice membership. I was able to get a rate that was at least $10/night below any other rate and more than $40 for some of the online hotel booking sites. I have stayed at Comfort Suites in other towns because of the large size of the room, especially for stays that are longer than two days. This was an excellent choice. Our room was ready early, was really clean and smelled good as well. The refrigerator was also clean and did not make any noise--an added bonus. The bathroom was spotless and there were plenty of towels. The couch was comfortable and the tv swiveled so it could be seen from the bed or couch or arm chair. Breakfast was plentiful and offered lots of choices. The hot tub was hot so I didn't worry about germs. The workout room had sufficient equipment and was available at any time, day or night. Wifi worked great.
But the absolute best part was the desk staff. Everyone for the three-day was professional and friendly. They were always nice to everyone including a couple who tried to check in before 7 a.m. They were traveling with 3 children and a crying baby. The man at the desk was soothing and helpful, even though the baby was obviously tired and needed a nap. The couple were allowed to wait in the lobby while a room was being readied as soon as possible. Jamie, the day clerk for our stay, continued this courtesy while assuring the couple and children that the hotel would help as soon as possible. Who wouldn't want to stay in such a nice environment with such nice people. Be sure to stay there your next trip to Abingdon.
