Good stay overall
Tagtme26on 18/09/2017 03:32My husband and I stayed here for a wedding. The hotel is very standard and nothing fancy. . It's quiet and comfortable. The rooms are spacious and the beds were mostly ok. The hallway floors and elevators were a little dirt, but overall we had a nice stay. It's pretty much a standard comfort inn.
Good place to stay for a Green Lake visit.
momof2illinoison 05/09/2017 22:00We stayed here again for Labor Day weekend so we could boat on Green Lake. There aren't a lot of options in the area, but this is a good choice for what we needed. We had 4 teenagers with us and so we appreciated the guest laundry, the pool (they replaced the basketball hoops in the pool which was great as our kids used them like crazy!), the game room and the free breakfast. I know some people have complained about the breakfast, but for free I thought it was more than sufficient. There was hot coffee, hot eggs and sausage and a waffle machine, not to mention bagels, toast, yogurt, cereal and juice. The rooms are clean, but I will say you can tell that they allow dogs here. The pull-out sofas in both of the rooms had stains and tears (the arm was chewed) and housekeeping is below average. Though the towels were replaced, the dirty ones were just left on the floor (??) and toiletries were not refreshed. When we pulled out one of the sofa beds, it was covered in dirt and sand (maybe from a dog but it should have been cleaned). We very much appreciated the room fridge and microwave! One request is to include hot chocolate packets at the 24/7 coffee/tea station. I have to give a BIG shout out to Brittany at the front desk, who helped us with everything including getting us the adjoining rooms with the beds we needed (we had 6 people and 2 rooms), and who was always there with a smile and a helpful "can-do" attitude! We will stay here again the next time we want to boat on the Big Green!
Good Stay
FarAwayTraveleron 11/08/2017 20:03Last week I stayed one night at the Comfort Suites. I had booked the room over the phone with the front desk manager.
Check in was very fast. The room/suite had was very clean and had plenty of space. The desk had lots of outlets and the internet speeds were fine. I also took advantage of the ironing board to prepare my clothes for a meeting.
Breakfast is typical for a limited service hotel: Eggs, waffles, yogurt, etc.
I enjoyed my stay and would be happy to return.
Just Try to Find a Human
BelizeBelieverson 07/08/2017 22:57I booked a reservation on line and had to cancel due to a family emergency. I tried to call the number they gave at 920-748-5500 and NO ONE answered. I tried 6 times and kept being told that no one was available at the number THEY transferred me to. Then Ii called the 844-816-9908 number that was listed in case I had trouble with the other number. THEY wanted the phone number I booked the reservation from. I told them I had done it on line. I gave them my confirmation number and they said there was no record of it. I tried the 920 number 3 more times and kept getting into a phone loop. So I finally went on line and almost had to promise my first born to get to my reservation. FINALLY I was able to cancel it. But I will be watching my Visa bill like a hawk. Stay in Oshkosh or Fond du lac but stay away from little ol' Ripon. I don't think they get telephone service there.
2017 Cross-Country Trip
Donna Ron 07/08/2017 21:53We’ve just returned from a 6200-mile cross-country trip. This is our 4th cross-country loop that we’ve taken since we retired, and on this one we completed our goal of visiting all of the lower 48 states. We stay at hotels as we travel, and we have learned what we expect from a basic hotel room, and have used these expectations to rate the hotel rooms where we have stayed.
This hotel was oldish, and the room was huge and empty. A plus was that the window opened, so we could have fresh air. Downside was a mattress that rocked when one of us moved, so sleeping was an adventure.
The biggest problem we had took us by surprise. The front doors - both the outside set and the set inside the vestibule - were not automatic. We travel light, with each of us having a small, wheeled suitcase, a backpack and a shoulder bag. We usually have no problem getting settled in, but when we walked up to the doors, we had to set stuff down and hold the doors for each other. Leaving was the same. I can't understand not having automatic doors.
