Parents weekend

A reasonable priced room for the area and the weekend. Some needed attention to detail, dirty carpet in the elevator and smell like food but the rooms are nice and suites part of the room is perfect for a little one. Bathrooms have been updated so that’s nice. Good place to stay.
Hotel has gone down hill

We have stayed at this hotel for the past 8 years. It use to be a clean and friendly hotel. The staff use to be fantastic. This year was a completely different stay. It starts off with the hotel charging my credit card 4 times in 6 hours totaling around $1,000. When I realized the charges were happening I addressed it and since there was no manager on duty it took a while. Now the funds will take a couple of days to reverse from my cc.
On a holiday weekend there is no manager on duty. Two girls who that are new were in charge. The manager left at 6pm so I had to wait until the morning.
The woman had such an attitude like as if it was not their fault for maxing out my credit card the first day of my vacation. I had to argue with her to make the situation right. So $25 off each of my two night is the best she would do.
We left at 9:30 am to go the Knoebels Covered Bridge Festival when we came back at 11:00 pm only one bed was made. We tried to make coffee in the room and the coffee pot was filthy. The room was not tidied.
The toliet is also dirty.
They have no liquor license so the bar is not open.
This is trip we plan every year and all 30 of us stay here. No anymore.
Very disappointed. I hope this is addressed and taken care of because we are going to miss staying here.
Very Disappointed

I would like to comment on our recent stay at Comfort Inn, Bloomsburg PA. My wife and I have stayed in this same hotel over the last three years. Unfortunately we have seen the quality of this facility decline in that amount of time…so much that I finally have to say something. We arrived at the hotel at 3:10PM and was told our room wasn’t ready and to come back in an hour. Really…and this hotel advertises check-in at 3:00PM. Unacceptable right off the bat. The first room that they put us in was terrible including the air conditioner not operating. Luckily we did not bring our belongings in before we checked the room. The room that we spent our next three nights in was very disappointing. The room rug was not clean and was not vacuumed especially in the non-traffic areas. The bathroom was not very clean. Black mold in and around bath tub. Black mold on bathroom vents. There was no toilet tissue holder in the bathroom. The towel rack was useless because it was pulling off from the wall. The refrigerator was disgustingly dirty and looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in a long time. The TV did not work…the power had to be constantly recycled on the TV in order to get it to work properly. The facility’s only elevator was broken more than once and was broken when we were checking out. We had to carry everything including two large suitcase down the stairs from the third floor. And the free breakfast offered at this hotel…we didn’t even partake in because the table and chairs were dirty and not cleaned off. Did I say something to the desk attendant?...Yes more than once and all displayed an attitude like it wasn’t “their” problem.
I doubt very much if we will ever stay or recommend this facility again or for that matter any Choice hotel in the future unless we are compensated in some way.
Horrible Management and Property, Abusive Treatment of Guests

Before this horrible excuse for a hotel, I've never had my door knocked on by the manager while in a room I had already booked - with the "Do Not Disturb" sign, no less - and told that I would have to move to another room because they could get $150 for the room from another guest (I was on a lower coupon rate)!
This was after I was already in the room 3 nights, and had verbally extended for a 4th.
When I was asked to downgrade to either a room reeking of cigarette smoke, or with a sinking bed, I refused, and was told I had a half-hour to pack my things...which I did.
Unfortunately, I was at the hotel after a car accident awaiting repair - so I had nowhere to go. As I walked to the front entrance and took a cell phone call to check on my car--with suitcase, overnight bag, clothing and nowhere to put it, I was insultingly told by a nasty assistant manager to "get off our property if you're not a guest!"
But I had been a guest, had paid my bill, and even extended my stay the additional night. However, the hotel saw a chance to make extra money and tried to extort me.
Guests should never be treated that way under any circumstances, but this is an absentee owner franchise with no regard for hospitality, or the proper treatment of customers.
On top of this, the hotel does not meet basic standards....such as having a working elevator, which was broken during my first night/day, without state inspectors ever being informed. Cigarette smoke is rampant everywhere, and the alleged breakfast (an egg substitute) is not edible.
I never received an apology. But I would like a refund.
A Lot for a little

Checked in and the staff were friendly. The room was not cheap. TV did not work, tried a few spare remotes. Finally got it to work after a hour. Room smells musty. Not much for your money. Stayed at a.lot of Choice hotels and this one is clean but the TV was blurry and again the room had a strange musty odor.
