The staff is just swell and really aims to take care of you. The rooms are nice and clean and while not luxurious they do the job and it’s quiet. Bed is comfy and the room is a good size. Small fridge and microwave are included.

We have gone to Duluth one weekend in November for many years. Most of the time we have stayed (along with our adult children and their families) and have booked 3 rooms. We have been to all the Canal Park hotels. The Comfort Inn has become the least favorite of the family. Dissapointments include over crowded parking lots, way over crowded breakfast area, poor breakfast choices, food running low. One of our daughters has a tiny dog she likes to bring with, she is able to for an extra charge at other hotels but not at the Comfort Suites. We usually bring a HDMI device to hook up to the TV for Hulu or Netflix but No HDMI hookups are allowed at Comfort Suites. The pools were all cloudy too.. not coming back.

The Comfor suites have great location. Allways friendly an very serviceminded staff.
Rooms are big and have great functionality. Breakfast is nice with a great view og the lake.
Some times in summer it is hard to get rooms.
But with all the visitors it needs some uppgrade.

This hotel had one of the friendliest staffs I have ever experienced. Every person we encountered had a smile and something friendly to say. One example: Because we showed up in town with an unexpected snowfall, and we had no brush or scraper in our car, the lady working the front desk at our departure offered to let us get the one out of her car and use it.
Our visit was short, so I didn't get to experience the area that the hotel was in, other than out the window, but the location is fantastic.
The hotel was very clean. The beds were comfortable. Breakfast was on the better side of what you expect at a Comfort.
The only downsides that kept this from being a 5-star review were that things around our room were a little bit noisy. We could hear quite a bit of conversation in the hall, and coughing from the next room. And there was a mechanical noise coming from somewhere that was really annoying. Also, the location of the coffee in the breakfast area is in a little room, and it got very crowded around it. It seems like maybe it could be in a spot where people could circulate a little bit better.
But if I ever find myself in Duluth again, I will likely stay here again.

The Comfort Suites Canal Park in Duluth, MN was a excellent choice for our stay and I would highly recommend it to others looking for a quality hotel for your stay in Duluth. The location of the hotel can't be beat - it is in the heart of Canal Park and close to the Maritime Museum, Grandma's, some great antique shops and the DeWitt shops. It's also within easy walking distance of the Great Lakes Aquarium and the boardwalk along the lake. Free parking onsite is a bonus as parking is tight in this area. The hotel itself is clean, well-appointed, and has a pool and hot tub that seemed to be a hit with adults and kids alike. The views of Lake Superior from the dining room are beautiful and there is a patio as well, which we didn't use since it was November. At one end of the dining room there is a fireplace, some easy chairs, and a great selection of books you are encouraged to take or leave as you wish. On the cold, windy night we arrived it was a welcome spot to hang out for a while. The room was clean, the bed comfortable and cozy. Breakfast the next day had an impressive variety of cold and hot items - not your typical "continental breakfast". The staff was friendly and helpful - it's obvious customer service comes first. We will definitely stay again when we visit Duluth.
