We were surprisingly pleased with the room, even though we were put in a handicapped room which we did not need. We had a super large walk-in shower. Included breakfast was quite good. Hospitality of clerk, Andrea, was especially nice. We did not use any other part of the hotel as it was just a stop to sleep on our trip south. Would definitely stay again.

I would like to say we enjoyed our stay - and we mostly did - despite the fact that our "non-smoking" room dampened our experience significantly. I asked - and confirmed - that the hotel was non-smoking and that we would have a non-smoking room - as we are very sensitive to any type of cigarette smoke. We were assured the hotel was non smoking and that our room surely was. We knew early on however, that this was not true. The hotel may be non smoking NOW - however, clearly rooms have been redone that used to smoking. Our room was quite obviously one of those rooms. It was disgusting to us - which is not a pleasant environment. I didn't bother complaining as we had a busy family event trip and figured we'd only be sleeping their mostly. However - we should have - as it greatly impacted our stay - and made me sad and irritated every time we re-entered our room and the stale, smokey smell hit us again. No one wants to send a special family trip in a room they don't want to breath in. This felt like great misrepresentation. A "previously smoking room" is NOT a non smoking room. If you are a smoker, this likely would not bother you.
The GOOD was the breakfast and the staff - who were all wonderful - except of course for the initial person who assured us we had a non smoking room. :( Pool was fine.

Was in town for one night for business. Convenient location. Clean. Quiet. Plenty of restaurants in the immediate area. I would stay here again if in the area. Plenty of parking. Could not get my laptop to connect to Wifi - didn't bother complaining or calling the front desk.

Our stay was uneventful. The staff was willing to assist and very pleasant. Conveniently located to food and shopping. I actually had to buy a few things as I had failed to pack some of the clothing I needed for the trip. But a note to management, it is definitely time for this property to be updated. Should I need to stay in the area again within the next year or so, I probably will not book with ChoiceHotels.

Arrived to Comfort Suites and unable to drive under canopy to check in and unload our luggage. Broken glass was on the pavement from a chair being thrown through a window by a drunk, angry patron. He was upset with his wife and that's how he handled it. This happened prior to our arrival and he was taken away by police. The pics show the damage caused and this was not fixed until 3 days later. Many questioned where the manager was. She was not present nor did she have any intention of coming in. She never came in at all through the entire weekend. How about that for person holding that position of responsibilty? The window was not covered nor were the pieces of jagged, partially hanging glass removed. It was clear she did not care about the possibility of other patrons being injured by glass dislodging and cutting someone at ground level. To finish our evening, when we finally entered our room it had not been cleaned. Lollipop stick on the night stand, garbage not emptied and wet face towels on the bathroom sink. I came to the front desk and mentioned my dissatisfaction. Andrea was ever so apologetic and said she would personally clean the room and make things right. Indeed she did! What wonderful staff at Comfort. The breakfast staff is genuinely friendly and courteous. They offer omlets on Mon. and Wed mornings. Housekeeping is equally accomadating. I believe they make sure weary travelers are cared for. Unfortunately, the manager does not appreciate her dedicated staff. Based on this past weekends events, I believe this may be a missed opportunity for her to apply her management skills effectively. Travelers expect safe stays and clean rooms that!s all. Advice: go to Hampton or Hilton across the way. I am done with Comfort Suites after 2 negative experiences in 2 separate states. The chain has gone "downhill".
