We booked a "Cabanas Verdes" timber cabin for two adults and two kids. It sported a living space with a double bed and a single with a pull-out fourth bed. The unit had a kitchenette and wet-room/wc. There was a lovely porch, with a magnificent view of the lake and mountains. The 'Eagles Nest' bench was a short walk down the road, which made for even better photo opportunities. The swimming pool was operational the day we arrived, though it does not operate year round. We had no restaurant or bar operational during our stay - I believe it they only function on weekends (this was the reason for only getting a four from me). Manuel in Reception is fluent in English. There is however an excellent restaurant in the neighbouring village, Algar - I've provided a separate review for this. This is a great place to stay, but you need to consider the isolation. The village has a well-stocked shop and the service station on the main road carries some basics.

We had a great weekend away here! Staff were very helpful an incident happened and with no hesitation the guy from the restaurant helped us out. The houses are basic but great we had two and they were side by side. Great activities and views were amazing, nothing was to much trouble😊 we will defiantly be returning we were a party of 6 adults and 2 children 😊

Great place to calm down. You should try the plate velero del tajo at the park restaurant...nhami.
The rooms are confortable enough but maybe you should try considering the privacy and the balcony of the houses. A much better and valuable option.
There are as well, a lot of activities you can do.
Great place to have a great stay.

The surrounding is breathtaking and you feel totally at peace and in twine with nature. However the whole resort is run down and requires much needed maintenance!Rural houses are lovely but requires updating and a whole lot of spring cleaning! Though the place is so magical that nothing seems to bother you😀

Stunning Lake Views, they were totally amazing and it seems that every rustic cottage has a perfect view, especially of the sunset.
A relaxed and friendly atmosphere, nothing seemed like to much trouble, great customer service, and the little white town of Vejer was pleasant too (1.5km away), although I didn't find any great restaurants, perhaps I missed them, check if their own restaurant is open again, I believe it is now.
The lovely rustic cottage was private and comfortable. Recently refurbished, it had a terrace with bench and table to look over the vista and eat, a fireplace, TV and good new bathroom. Two points the lighting was very bright and it would be great to have secondary lighting or even a dimmer and the fireplace was smoky, possibly just needed a sweep? We loved wondering down the steep private road to the lake and messing about by the water. They have great hiking routes, canoes, horses (a little to tame for my liking), possibly the yacht might be chartered again, and archery for kids really. I recommend bringing binoculars or you may be able to hire the powerful set from reception. They are dog friendly too and have two little ones of their own. Overall thoroughly enjoyable, romantic and I cant wait to visit again. In May we had perfect temperatures mid 30's, it felt quite hot and we swam in the lake, there are lots of trees for shade too.
