We stayed on Saturday 21st Oct with our dog Honey. Patricia is a lovely lady, really friendly and fun. She made our stay really comfortable and the house is amazing. We will definitely come back and stay, hopefully in the summer. The garden is beautiful. Breakfast was lovely. We are veggie and vegan. Patricia made me lovely toast topped with avocado and roast tomatoes and there was lovely fresh fruit of all different kinds. The dining room is absolutely stunning :D
Thank you Patricia - we had a wonderful weekend. We will be back next year.

We had an excellent stay. Really convenient location, very impressed that the local pubs, post office and shops were just a 5 minute walk. The house was beautiful and out host was so accomodating. Wish we could have stayed for longer!

My wife and I, stayed at Compton house for two nights during the summer season, the hotel is very interesting with lots of character, the grounds are beautiful with amazing views, there are no corners cut with breakfast, all locally sourced produce.
The best selling point is the owner "Patricia" she was very interesting and warm, making sure our stay was perfect.
We would recommend this hotel, very close to cheddar gorge, Glastonbury and Wells.
We will be staying here again with the kids next time, there is lots of room within the grounds for them to play.

Meeting Patricia for the first time gave an immediately comfortable feeling that this would be a good place to stay and that we'd be well looked after.
None the worse for being old fashioned and the rooms and the bed were good and homely. Nothing flash but just gentle, unhurried surroundings and a most amiable cat!
Breakfast was on a wonderful ship's table with Patricia giving a good choice for a cooked breakfast but there was also cereal, fresh fruit etc... and a nice pot of tea or coffee available + croissants.

Very personable Manager on site. We were welcome warmly.
Very accommodating team. Very elaborate breakfast and served with a smile. We asked for evening tea which was provided at no extra cost.
