We returned for a second stay, 18 months after our first visit.
While the ground floor lobby/public areas are well maintained, the rest of the hotel is tired and needs a renovation! Windows that were cracked on the first floor have not been repaired... And the room was not very clean.
Sadly, we will not return...

We payed 45 euros per night. The rooms are very very simples and very small, very small tv. + good breakfast. But the heating system does not work at all. We were frozen. And the internet was never working more than 5 or 7 minutes.
The bathrooms tiles were all yellow, so not very clean. They were white at some point.
I must say that the receptionist was super profesional and nice.

Nice historical hotel but only reception was open all evening.
It was Sunday night but even so it would have been good to get some food and drink.
Room looked dated bath needed replacing.
It could be a wonderful hotel with some investment in upgrading the bed rooms.

Having read the reviews on board the ship from Portsmouth to Bilbao, I was looking forward to staying here. The parking was perfect, secure, easy to find, and free! Bedroom was clean, and so was the bathroom, even if it was small and in need of updating. What more can you expect for the price? The food was very good, especially after the long drive. Thank you to all the staff.
P.s. A visit to the windmills up on the hill is well worth a visit before you leave!

a very pleasant suprise , We booked this Hotel as just a cheap stop over place, but I think we found a little Gem ,
Car parking was very secure and easy to locate
The staff very friendly and efficient,
The Hotel is located a short stroll from the main centre of town..
The biggest shock was the fantastic restaurant at the Hotel which proved to be one of the best taster menu,s we have expeienced in Spain at rock bottom price !
We will return just for the food !!
