What People are saying
Modern, good breakfast, free parking and a strange bathroom
V1181GWmichaelbon 21/03/2017 12:05After staying just one night at Apart Hotel Corbie in Lommel the verdict is in. If your looking for a clean, modern and easy stay in Lommel you could do much worse than Corbie. The rooms are spacious, clean and have all the trimmings you need. You get a good free wifi, tons of electrical sockets for the teenagers phones, a wc in the bathroom and not in the room next door without a wash basin (as you frequently get in Belgium), a decent view and good sound proofing. The only strangeness is that you will have a glass wall (with partial print) dividing the bathroom and sleeping area so prepare to get requests turn your head away and dim the lights when your teenagers take over the bathroom. Parking is easy as Corbie is next to a square that will give you 1 hours worth of free parking, just enough time to check in, find your room, get back out and move the car to the free parking a few 100 yards from the hotel. The dining area doesnt serve dinner but they will do a really good breakfast with all the basics (and a few extra tidbits). The automatic juice press is a nice touch and you can easily stock up on vitamin c together with your pastry, yogurt and fresh coffee.
One hot tip is:
If you plan on checking in during the unmanned hours (for example Friday evening) make sure to check your e-mail prior to arrival as you will need to grab you room key from the "mini safe" at the entrance, information that is sent to you via the email address you used when booking. If not, you can always pick up the phone at the reception and speak to someone.
For eating you can either take the car a few blocks down the road until you hit the city center (parking can be tricky though) or simply check google and walk the short distance.
As I was attending a annual tournament in Lommel I will certainly try to book Corbie next year again. Well worth the euros!
Great location for town centre
Kevin Hon 29/11/2016 20:29Have been here twice for business and not disappointed. Hotel is clean, staff are friendly. Located a couple minutes walk from Lommel town centre with loads of bars and restaurants to choose from. Showers are a bit funny if sharing a room as the wall is glass and you can see out and they can see in!
Good location, friendly staff, average breakfast...
Eren78on 10/07/2016 19:27I have stayed there at least 20 times.
If it is a business trip to Ford, yes this hotel has the best location. So go for it...
But for holiday, it has no pool, no sports center nothing. Plain room ans restaurant which is not open for lunch and dinner.
The price is exaggerated.
There are better hotels with same or lower prices in Lommel.
Flaky Security
Chubberlinaon 20/12/2015 23:09The rooms are very basic with inadequate single beds. 3ft wide single doesn't cut it in a hotel. The rooms were clean, the towels are thin. My room door was left open by the cleaner, no apologies from the staff. The rooms do not have a safe so we had to take our valuables with us each day. The hotel staff at breakfast were very friendly and efficient. The reception staff have a bad attitude, long story but a bad attitude. Anyone can enter this building and get to your room without being challenged as the reception is not constantly manned.
There is an excellent choice of restaurants in immediate area, just 300m. All in all I wouldn't stay there again unless it was a last resort.
