We booked a hotel for 3 nights with hotel 12 Nov 2017 .We went to Hotel about 8.00 pm for check-in. I met a receptionist. We wanted to check in as a regular guest. But What reception did , offer me to stay at Flat14 Seldon House (which is 5 minute walk)(Receptionist said this Flat is belong to Hotel ) and asked me to pay cash for 49 pound extra to stay there. He tried to convince me to stay there and told me that Flat14 is better than Corbigoe Hotel. It was crazy. 8.00 pm it was not a time we should stand in front of reception desk to make a decision where we going to stay. He tried to force us to make decision immediately.
We are felling very bad and unsure wether to stay in this hotel or not. It was very bad bad bad bad experience.
Moreover he tried to get my credit card to charge me for 1 night. Terrible reception ever.
This situation makes us decide to not stay in this hotel. We walked out from this hotel at 08.30 pm to look for new hotel.

Room dated and in need of decoration. Window couldn't close and central heating not working. Provided with an oil filled radiator.Sheets were clean. Was okay as we were only using it to sleep in it. Good location.

Arrived and was told I had to take an apartment room 5 minutes away,being at 22.30 I was not happy but agreed after 5 mins the gentleman on the desk could not tell me the address so asked for the money back will not be back. Very unprofessionally and lack of respect for the customer I will say the gentleman on the desk was polite.

The place smells something mixed with fungus, old milk and smell of socks after a day of work.... It is really awful. It is not good to get your wife there. The internet doesn't work and it is not good, don't pay for eat there! Spare your money! And... not prejudice, I live in Brazil, with lots of people, but Indians, like those who are there, are not my kind of people to deal.

POSSITIVES:The fact theres many more hotels to stay in heck even the streets are nicer. The not very intelligent staff member was atleas polite to my missus which is kind of a good thing otherwise id not be able write this scaving review because id be in prisonš
NEGATIVES:Bed base had a giant hole in litterslly sit down you sink. Then the room is rusty, dingy and plain horrible. Toilet so small the door is half open only. Then the fact we were almost chargeĀ£5 FOR WIFIš¤£š¤£ jokers. Then to top it all off the door jamshut to our room no latch nothing because as any person knows when the latch is on the door does NOT shut. So they had to kick down our room door . Then as we tried to explain it was not our fault he gets angry..?yeah he gets angry jokers. (Jokers replasing very vulgar words here). So it turns into me and the missus grsbbing our stuff and go request refund for the audeal OF Ā£50 WHAT FOR A ROOM WORSE THEN A CRACK DEN. CANT BE SERIOUS ID RATHER SLEEP WITH A BUNCH OF MOULDY DEAD BODYS THAN IN THERE. So moral of the story children is avoid this place completly unless your into uncomfy nights sleep rude staff then b my guest.
ALTERNATIVE: For the same price we stayed in ibis croydon alot nicer
