Old Hotel in Need of Some TLC

Pros:
The hotel is located right next to the Jalon Alor food night market.
Staff are friendly.
Fairly big sized rooms
Cons:
The hotel advertises WIFI in all rooms, yet the WIFI did not work in my room, it seems to work okay in the lobby but there is nowhere to work there aside from the dining area.
No A/C control in the room in terms of temperature, it's simply an on/off AC and for me the room didn't get cold enough.
The room had a sterile feel to it with the blank white walls.
The room smelled like paint.
No screen on the window which makes opening it not an option due to mosquitos.
The ketchup packet style shampoo was not a nice touch.
The kettle in the room had standing water and a mold smell and was grimy on the inside.
The breakfast was not good, the food is cold, the chicken sausage tastes like powder and the coffee like water.
I hate to be so harsh on this hotel given the staff are friendly, but this was my experience. The hotel is priced higher than it should be given the many issues it has it shouldn't be priced anything above $20 USD a night.
The funny thing is the hotel has a lot of potential but the lack of attention to detail and the cleanliness of rooms needs to be addressed.
Perfect location

Lovely hotel, older style but well maintained, clean, friendly and in a perfect location. Staff are the best I've come across in a very long time, nothing too much trouble and very friendly and welcoming. Asian style buffet breakfast included and good supply of tea and coffee in room daily as well as bottled water.. will definitely be staying here every trip to KL in the future
Corona Inn

This hotel was a real surprise. Found it by accident almost. The door person, The front desk staff, everyone in fact was very friendly. Our room on the fourth floor was comfortable and clean. The sheets were changed everyday. The shower was clean and the water had loads of pressure and was hot. The fridge worked well enough to freeze a coke can so that's pretty good. Breakfast was provided everyday in the form of a buffet. The choices of food was ok but i think the food needs to be hotter. Free WiFi is provided throughout the hotel for those who need it. The area Bukit Bintang is a happening place. Almost straight out of the front door of the hotel is the "food street". If you cant find something to eat here that you like you have a problem. Also the hotel is easy walking distance to the monorail and train which makes it easy to get around. I really enjoyed my stay at the Corona Inn and would definitely stay there again.
An old hotel with a good location.

A basic hotel that hasn't seen any renovation for probably a decade. But on the lane adjoining the happening Street of bukit bintang where all the malls and restaurants are. So everything is walking distance. If you're looking for a place to crash after hectic sightseeing and shopping then this place is ok. Don't expect much from it. A basic breakfast of Malay cuisine, eggs, chicken sausages, toast tea and coffee. Friendly front office staff.

There is thing which is good like the buffet of breakfast with some choices but is not opened for dinner. The way they cleaned the room like hair on the floor and you always have cold water for bathing in the superior room. The wifi connection which is very bad and the service at the reception is poor. But the hotel is situated near to restaurant and shopping center which is very good and just to note that even on Sundays the shop is opened quiet late in the night and as well i would like to thanks the taxi driver of the hotel which help me a lot i dont remember his name sorry i can tell you that he is a sikh. The hotel ia cheap good only for sleeping take your breakfast then have a nice day away to explore .
