We stayed at Costa Mesa Marriott for one day on Saturday, November 11, 2017 in room #315. We left the hotel around 10:30 Am on the next day Sunday, November 12, 2017. While driving back to our home in San Fernando Valley we noticed that we had forgotten our clothes in the closet of the room. We immediately called and talked with person named Stephanie and made her aware of this condition and asked her to hold the clothes and my son will go and pick them later.
Yesterday my son went to Marriott collect the clothes but the clothes were not there. Obviously we are extremely unhappy with situation. And, surprisingly this happened at at a reputable hotel such as Marriott even after informing them only couple of hours after we had left the hotel. Also the hotel staff did not extend the courtesy to inform us if they could not locate our clothes. Very poor management!!! I wonder who is responsible in the Marriott main office?
I would recommend that in future be careful if you ever rent a room at Costa Mesa Marriott hotel and may be any Marriott for that matter.

Checked in a day early and Mica De Guzman, front desk supervisor handled getting us a perfect room even though the hotel was booked. Appreciate when efforts are made to make sure a customer is happy! Thank you

I almost always stay in Marriott hotels for business travel (Platinum Rewards member). This one is pretty mediocre by Marriott standards. The guest rooms are spacious but dated - definitely in need of renovation. Water pressure in the showers is a complete joke. The restaurant should just be avoided; it’s overpriced, has poor service, and the food isn’t that good. Breakfast buffet is ok though. There are plenty of other choices nearby in Costa Mesa. I’ll stay here again because of the convenience of the location, but that’s the only reason.

For the price, few complaints. Had I paid more than a discounted weekend rate I would have been really disappointed. The bed is comfortable, but the rooms are very dated. This is an old Sheraton Suites property and still has the Sheraton furniture. The entire room could use a major renovation. I wish I could say they made up for it in cleanliness, but my bathroom had long black hairs in multiple locations including a large clump on the back wall of the shower. The food on the breakfast buffet was cold and I certainly would not recommend it unless it is free and included in your rate.
Overall, it is priced like a 2.5-3 star on weekends and as long you set your expectations to that, it is fine (assuming they clean the room). I am surprised Marriott QA has not failed this hotel and removed the franchise. It really does not live up to the Marriott brand.

Hotel is comfortable although the rooms have not been refurbished in awhile, the staff was very accommodating and eager to please. The full breakfast (omelette in particular) was delicious. The pool was delightful even though their was a lot of construction close by. Location is a plus. The hotel is very close to a huge mall and art center. There are plenty of restaurants to choose from and some within walking distance.
