We stayed 3 nights during the Easter long weekend and enjoyed the tranquility of the cottage. The interior was impeccably clean, and the spa bath was just absolutely relaxing. The washing machine and dryer that came with the cottage were also a plus, considering that we frequented the beaches regularly. The cottage was also conveniently located close to the town, where we had no trouble finding sumptuous meals. Overall, it had been a wonderful experience!

These are great cottages, in a perfect location, and are very well appointed, in a child-free complex. HOWEVER, and this is what ruins what would have been a 4 or 5 out of 5, and means that we can't realistically give it more than the lowest score possible. Sounds harsh but wi-fi is no longer a luxury. It is now a customer expectation, is used for holiday planning as well as catching up with FB, and should be part of an accommodation package as much as an iron, fridge or hair-drier. A big, big disappointment, not to mention intense frustration on our part. Organisations like this (and I'm really talking about Australia and New Zealand) need to step up to the mark and invest in this technology. Incidentally, we know it can be done as we have visited several very busy McDonalds, plus a handful of hotels where wi-fi was comparable with the superfast broadband that is enjoyed in the UK.

We booked this cottage at the last minute and were absolutely thrilled with our choice. The amenities were fabulous, couldn't ask for more. They have thought of everything! Helen, the owner, was very friendly and ensures your complete privacy - even providing champagne glasses and ice bucket next to the spa!. Wonderful getaway for two. When you're past the kids stage and don't want to have to deal with kids - this is the ideal place to go. The location is great, walking distance to main street and the beach. We only stayed the one night this time but we will be going back for at least a week. Well done Helen and thank you :)

If you are looking for peace and quiet, good facilities and an excellent location by the seaside then this is the place.
For couples only. No children or visitors allowed. Helen does a great job ensuring peace and privacy. Always stay here when looking for a relaxing break on the Island!

good points - well located close to the main street of cowes; very quiet and private; land lady very friendly and helpful; rooms are spacious; very clean
not so good - damp smell; old bed; tired fittings; strange carpet in the bathroom
