The laundrey list of issues included an exploding toilet (woke up to a room under water on two seperate occasions), went to go for a swim and found birds in the pool, the tv was somehow locked when I got there meaning you couldn't change the channel. After the first night staff apologised and I genuinely thought they tried to remedy the problem so I stayed another night. More problems and exploding toilets, which they claimed was fixed and then this lady had the nerve to suggest that it was somehow my issue and not the hotels. She goes "you came here from another hotel right? I go Ya. She goes "why?" Im like why are you asking me that? She goes "no reason" and acts all snarky. The interaction basically summed up Jamaica for me too. Not a place for an independent traveller. I've been to probably 30 countries and this is the first country I have hated. I won't go back. Wretched lot they were.

The property has tons ofpotential. Great locaton. Service not bad but rooms need a serious facelift and update. Restsurant ugh. Too old fashion. Omg the tv is a 12 inch. Not sure if these are seriius hotelirrs. The shower head flew off two times

We had reservations to stay here for a couple nights and they were cancelled on us by the hotel staff because another person called to reserve the room for a longer time. Now this I understand but what proper places do in these cases is move you to a different room but keep the price you reserved to pay. No offers were made and the manager was unreachable. Disappointing.

I had the BAD experience of staying at the Cotton Tree for ten days from the 27 of Dec, 2013 until Jan 6, 2014. The place was a mess;
The room smelled like sewage the entire time, because the pipes backed up in the shower two or three times a day.
There was no hot water
They only cleaned the room three times and had the nerve to look for a tip
Had a room that was suppose to have air conditioning that only worked for three days, then the gave me a dirty fan
Bugs all over the room crawling under the door red ants sugar ants all over the kitchen wals had to spray myself
The sheets felt like itchy wool they were so CHEAP
No towels because they hand wash their laundry
No remote for the television have not experienced that since the 80's

Had to evacuate this hole on short notice as the owner or mgr 'Marie Walters' has a terribly rude attitude. She has no idea how to speak to her customers. They fail to mention in their review that there is a loud party every saturday night, giant cockroaches, cobwebs on the walls, nasty mattresses and windows that don't close properly leaving you open to a robbery as the only security guard is down the road at another bar getting drunk. Also no wifi as advertised. There are plenty of other budget hotels in the Negril area so don't waste your money here.
