My family and i came for dinner, it was only 730 and were told the restaurant was full....When we saw the restaurant it didnt appear full at all....
Obviously a poor restaurant managment issue, Such a shame as the food is lovely, we have eaten there on many occasions but shallnt be returning

Booked this hotel for a special birthday meal. On arrival, we were shown to our table and was presented with the menu and drinks menu. We ordered our starters and both myself and my husband chose the bruschetta which was nice, but had a little too much garlic and was very chunky. Our mains arrived and they were hot and nice portions are good too. I would say that the wine list was a little expensive, but choice was good. Our desserts was lovely.
The hotel itself is very darted and requires modernising, the restaurant was quiet, although it was a Saturday evening, we expected it to be busier. The hotel bar was also quiet, but nice to have a drink in after your meal. This is a golf club hotel although, there was a wedding on that same evening, which was held in a separate room. I would say I wouldn’t rush back.

Needs a lot of work.
I have stayed there countless times, mainly for work.
If you get the right room, it is fine, unfortunately there are plenty of poor rooms.
The staff all work hard, there are just not enough of them at times.
The "manager" who writes replies on here is never there, he must manage by phone.
Malcolm , who is nearly always there on site, works extremely hard. In my opinion, quite often with one hand tied behind his back.
Val one of his top assistants does a great job too. Most of their staff are hard working and try to keep a smile on their faces.
The guys higher up the ladder are never there and do almost nothing to help run the hotel. Whoever owns this hotel is extremely lucky with their onsite staff. The off site need a wake up call.
How it still has 4 AA stars is a mystery.
All in my Humble opinion.

The hotel has a great position ,on a good run 20-25mins(taxi or Car) Gatwick, and by train from Coulsdon 35-45 min to central London .

Stayed at this hotel for a couple nights to be near daughter and grandchildren - staff helpful, friendly . Green oasis in the middle of a Residential area . Bedroom overlooked part of golf course awoke in am to the sound the golfers teeing off which was fine with me being a golfer and loving early morning starts !!
Breakfast was excellent - the scrambled egg a must along with good array of fruit, cereal etc
Bar area pleasant and interesting outside sitting area under a large grapevine loaded with bunches of grapes looking over part of the golf course.
Would recommend for quiet few days away from it all except during a week end with Wedding disco taking place until midnight!!

We had our wedding at Coulsdon Manor Hotel this weekend. Initially we wasn't sure what it would be like as the hotel is a little tired in places. We need not have worried as our wedding reception was absolutely fantastic. Our guests were raving about the canapés on arrival and 3 course meal. Everything was hot, our vegetarian and vegan friends were catered for and the toast master made sure everything ran smoothly. Barbara, the wedding planner at Coulsdon was always on hand throughout the planning to answer any questions. I can't thank Coulsdon enough, we had the most wonderful wedding reception!
