Myself and partner stayed recently in the magical room which was nice. Gorgeous location in a quiet spot with beautiful views. The lady at front desk was helpful and we was able to have an earlier check in (small charge) but definitely worth it. We did miss out on the glass of sparkling wine but i think this was because of the earlier check in. Overall, the stay was nice, we felt the steak was a bit expensive for what it was but was nice.

The Court House Manor luxury B&B is a hidden little Gem! It was so lovely being greeted on arrival with a glass of bubbly and a lovely friendly receptionist. In fact all the staff were really pleasant and helpful throughout our stay! Our rooms had very stylish decor, very clean and the beds really comfy! The restaurant/bar area was cosy with a nice atmosphere. The food at breakfast was really tasty with plenty of choice offered with both Continental and Cooked breakfast. The grounds are really well kept, with stunning views around and also offers plenty of guest parking too. The location is perfect to explore the Cotswolds and also within easy reach of Gloucester, Cheltenham & Cirencester for shopping, bars & Restaurants. We were lucky enough to visit Gloucester during their outdoor Victorian market with Ice Skating & mulled wine which was an added little treat! Painswick has a lovely little village with nice pubs with good local food! All in all we had a lovely family weekend (no twin rooms though!) with lots to do and we loved every minute! Would definitely recommend a visit! We will most certainly be returning for another visit in the future.

The staff were very helpful and courteous and friendly we asked for what villages in the Cotswolds to visit and they were very knowledgeable. The breakfast was ample and well cooked with a good selection of cereals and fruit. We stayed in the king Charles suit large room with views over the countryside large bathroom only downside was the heating system very intermittent. The last night we moved to the king Arthur suit not so good on the views but a much more comfortable room.Thank you for our first visit to the Cotswolds we would have no hesitation at staying at the Courthouse Manor when we visit the Cotswolds next.

On arrival we were met by a very pleasant young lady - who entirely ran the restaurant at both Dinner and Breakfast - on her own - very efficiently! The room ( Julius Ceasar ) was a little on the small side, but pleasant. Building and Grounds were beautiful.
Lots of snags in a beautiful location

This place looks lovely. Beautiful location and a comfortable bed. I was really looking forward to the trip which I booked through Booking.com. I do not know if booking this way had a negative impact on my stay (ie if I got less room information or a different treatment upon arrival) but this is possible and so this review should be linked with that specific mode of booking.
Before we arrived we rang to say when we would arrive (as we were asked to ) and were hesitantly informed that it would probably be ok. We were arriving at 4:30 pm - not an odd time to arrive so I did not understand why this would be so troublesome but it made us feel unwelcome and awkward.
Lots of other reviews say that they had a glass of sparkling wine upon arrival - we were not offered this.
The room was noticeably cold upon arrival - the lady who showed us to our room tried to turn the radiator on but she could not make it work. She did not offer to send someone up to fix it even though she noticed it was cold.
The bathroom was separate to the room - ie we had to cross a corridor where there could be other people in order to use the bathroom. This was not indicated on the room information which it should have been as I would not have booked such a room.
The bathroom had no lock so you had to take your keys with you. This is ok when it is early evening but is not relaxing in the middle of the night - it is fussy and unnecessary when it would be easy to install a bathroom lock on the door.
The bathroom plug hole was not securely attached to the bath and so the water drained away quickly and had to constantly be refilled. When I spoke to the receptionist about this I was told that no one had complained about it before. I do not know if the receptionist thought I was not telling the truth or if she thought I was picky. I did not care to ask.
She did say she would speak to maintenance about it which is good for future visitors but for somewhere that says it is a luxury place to stay these issues are surprising.
The breakfast wasn’t great - undercooked bacon with white fat coating it and sausages that were soggy. I think the sausages had been kept warm too long.
I really think we were a bit unlucky with our stay - had we a different room, had the heating worked or a more welcoming greeting then I think we would have loved it.
The bed (as I said before) was huge and comfortable. The receptionist booked a table for us at a local pub which was kind. Great attention has been paid to the interior. I can imagine other people may have been luckier with their stay- I think this is probably a great place to stay and we just hit lots of snags which I hope they sort out.
