Had a terrible experience where the guests across the hallway were so loud. I started letting the staff know at midnight, he staff was slow to respond which led to 3 calls later, that I had to request to change room at 2:30 in the morning. They didn't even offer to change the room nor to help me move. It was literally one of the WORST experiences I had with Marriott hotels, given that I am a Gold Elite member for Marriott. The manager handled it initially and acknowledged the mis-handling and offered some points to compensate but did NOT follow through. I had to call back several weeks later to remind him. NOT very sincere and overall terrible experience.
Would not return. Could have returned if the manager managed it well and followed through.

Two things made my stay very unpleasant. First, the bed is lumpy and uncomfortable. The worse problem is noisiness of the room. The walls have zero sound insulation. I could hear people in the hall and in the rooms on either side up until about 1:00 a.m., and I was using both a white noise machine and earplugs. Another issue is that the HVAC unit is really noisy. This did not bother me, as it helped drown out the noise from the halls and other rooms, but it might bother other people who do not like white noise.
On the good side, the hotel is very clean. The location is excellent. The folks at the reception are very nice and professional.
So if somebody wants to stay up late and make a lot of noise, this might be a good place. If you are here on business and need a good night's sleep before an early morning meeting, this is a terrible place.

This is an older Marriott Courtyard property, in considerable need of top to bottom renovation, with a great location. Some of the staff are friendly, but I do recommend that you call ahead of time to make sure they block off for you the kind of room you want; otherwise you may be in for a disappointment, like I was, upon arrival. Would be so nice if they offered a normal breakfast, rather than their 'bistro,' but such is how things go these days.

I just spent five nights here and enjoyed it. This hotel is fairly new and quite comfortable. The bed was excellent; so was the shower. I found the WiFi slow but it worked. I had a nice room overlooking Beacon Street, including the T’s Cleveland Circle line, but the soundproofing was excellent. The location is great with lots of restaurants and stores within a short walk. I’d happily stay here again when next in the Boston area.

I'm a local so when my family stays and there's an overflow of folks at my house they stay here. It's lovely, very modern and a totally great modern hotel. The location is about 2 kilometers or 1.5 miles out of Boston center, so if you are here to see Boston sites, you just need to know that. On the other hand, this is the center of one of Boston's greatest suburbs--Coolidge Corner--not too far from Washington Square--both have great restaurants and little shops. And it's right on the "T" (Boston's transport system). If I were coming to Boston from Europe or out of town and ready to take a train into the city to save a little money, this hotel would be high on my list. It is also about a mile away to the Harvard Beth Israel/Deaconess Hospitals, and if you need to go to this hospital it is a good choice. There are closer hotels to the hospital, this one may be less expensive.
