I have traveled quite a bit for business and consistently need to change plans based on my meetings changing at the last minute. In this case, my meeting ended early - it finished in one day instead of two. However, I hadn’t checked out of my hotel room yet. I got back to the hotel after 5:00 pm and was told, as is normal, not a problem - I could check out early but they would have to charge me half price. This is normal and I didn’t have a problem with it. I went to the room, packed up, and came back downstairs. Crystal, who was helping me at the front desk, then informed me that she looked at my profile and saw I was Gold Elite so she just gave me a late checkout and didn’t charge for the room.
It is this customer service, with employees like Crystal going above and beyond to accommodate - that keep me loyal to Marriott.
Also - I do want to stay if you stay here, there is nice running along the river and walking to shops or food! But again, this review was about the great customer service at this hotel! Thank you again, Crystal.

We entered through the small, nicely done lobby area and were greeted by friendly front desk personnel. Check in was easy enough, as was parking. Last time we stayed, we were on an upper floor but this trip we were given a ground floor room. Like last time, it was an updated, modern room that had a wide screen tv, small frig, and granite bathroom counter. Everything was very clean and the bed was awesome. I love a well-done hotel bed and this one checked every box - very comfortable with mattress topper, crisp sheets, snuggly comforter and plenty of perfect pillows. The room had a great view of the river and river walk along its edge. Beautiful.
I seriously loved everything about this room and would say that it might actually be worth the rate. There is one small thing we've found in many hotels that we enjoy: a pot of coffee in the lobby in the morning. There was a single serve instant pot in the room and a little cafe in the lobby, which is where we purchased a cup, however, I feel that for the room rate, a complimentary cup of coffee available in the lobby is nice.
This was our second visit and for convenience and comfort, I'm sure it won't be our last!

We stayed here during spring break. The hotel wasn't very busy, we had the pool all to ourselves, but we couldn't find the towels. Our room was very clean and the staff was friendly. The location was great, right on the Riverfront. A little hard to get on the main road at time. Traffic was horrible (not hotels fault). Would stay here again.

I've stayed at a lot of Courtyards by Marriott and this is one of the better ones. All Courtyard's do not offer breakfast so that's not a good thing. They also don't offer free water and toothbrushes. The good thing about this hotel is that they're right next to the River Walk on the Manatee River. You can hang out at the river even late at night and just hear the water flowing. There is plenty of lighting so you're not really afraid of being there late at night. There are a lot of people still hanging out and enjoying nature. It's close enough to the downtown area with a lot of shops, restaurants and bars. So that's a definite plus. There's also a Wawa nearby that you can drive to if you need a late night snack. Near the airport, about a 20 minute drive.

Super nice staff , clean hotel !! Great location, very clean rooms , try Michael johns for dinner ! Amazing!
Go for a nice walk on the riverfront
