During a 3 week road trip and many hotels, we hit the road again after spending a day at West Point. We were headed for our next stop which was Gettysburg. After a couple of hours, it was time to stop and we found this hotel. The staff was friendly, the room was fine, but the price? This hotel appears to be in the middle of nowhere. Plus, I don’t get the Courtyard brand which charges a king’s ransom for a room but no breakfast is included. It was o.k. but too pricey. Maybe it’s just Jersey.

My fiance and I had come to visit friends and being a loyal Marriott member, I would not stay anywhere else. We checked in about quarter to midnight. It was a busy lobby, a bus had just dropped off several guests all dressed up who were hanging out drinking in the lobby.
People before us and after us had checked in, no problem. Long story short, we had presented a total of 3 credit cards, all of which we were told were declined. After several swipes by the receptionist to no avail, I had asked if she could call IT or customer service to look into my account (we had called our credit card companies and not only were there available funds BUT now several pending charges from this Marriott). The receptionist told me "no" and shrugged her shoulders stating this has never happened to her before.
Before we were ready to walk out to find a place to stay because we were mortified at this point with our heads hung low, she said Im just going to give you a room and you can sort it out with the manager in the morning.
The manager seemed less than thrilled and even less apologetic after we had expressed how embarrassed we were standing at the front desk for a half hour being told our cards were being declined when in reality it appeared to be a system glitch. He even blamed it on us checking in too close to midnight. What surprised me the most was the lack of customer service. The other front desk guy even laughed as the manager pulled up the report with our several charges the night before. Again, embarrassed.
I had taken a survey and even wrote to corporate expressing my disappointment after years of loyalty to this chain. Again, I was met with a "sorry, we will do better next time". Unfortunately, there will not be a next time. The feeling was horrible.
Sincerely disappointed with the lack of caring. What happened to good customer service? This negative experience has changed my entire opinion of Marriott and I will be looking into other hotel chains to stay during my travels.

We had to stay here at a busbiness trip: standard rooms, cuase interstate is close also quite noisy place, interieur not in best shape (=old and used), breakfast corner closing hard at 9:30 - low flexibility, service desk person was not able to print an invoice with the name of my company in and told me that this is not possible cause of security reasons..... never heard that before in my life. Next time we chose a different hotel

I spent almost 2 years in this hotel due to work, the hotel is very nice and staff is great, there sized of the rooms are big.
Good bar with many choices, they have an indoor pool and and Gym with 2 treadmills, that I use often, both in good shape and with TVs incorporated.
By the way not much to do in the area !!

I stayed here for a wedding since this is where the bride and groom blocked rooms. I have neck issues which can be exacerbated when sleeping in a bed other than mine but is mitigated when I have my chiropractic pillow with me. I did have my pillow with me but woke up the first morning with neck spasms. The bed was very hard - felt like a block of concrete covered with a mattress topper. My neck pain put a damper on the wedding celebration and the rest of my vacation.
Otherwise, the hotel was clean and has a quiet policy which is posted by one of the elevators (though not in an obvious spot).
In my Marriott Rewards profile I have specified my room location preference and this hotel assigned me the opposite of my preference. This was also disappointing. I would not stay here again.
