The reception desk employees are super awesome. They were very friendly and helpful with all inquiries made. The room was nice, cool and smelled really good.
The bistro breakfast was good and fresh.
If I am in the area again I would definitely stay here again.
Problems from the Start!

Got in at dark on a Friday evening after a hard day of travel. Our problems started almost immediately. After check in, we requested a luggage cart to move our massive gear up tot he fifth floor. We waited for 25 minutes leaning on the car in the drive out front, and finally went to the front desk to inquire as to how long it would be. We were told then that there were no carts. Now I have a problem with that. First of all, why would you leave your customer just sitting and not bother to tell them you had no carts? Found out later there are only two carts for the entire place, and that is ridiculous. Got to our room exhausted after 5 elevator trips to move our gear, and found that our refrigerator didnt work and we had a bulb out over the counter that holds the coffee service and the fridge. Tried to call down to the front desk to request service, but they wouldnt answer so had to go down and track her down. She told me that they had no engineer on duty till morning but offered to let us change rooms? Now why would I want to expend all that effort to move rooms, when they have no carts? Next morning we asked housekeeping about the engineer, and she told us the property had no engineer. She quickly fixed the fridge, which was not plugged in? Now why would we be responsible for determining that in a dark area? She then told us that they did not have any bulbs for that fixture. Imagine that, a hotel with no light bulbs. They sent us up coupons for a free breakfast as a way to apologize, but what I really would have appreciated more would have been people who do there jobs. Our room looked nice enough, the entire hotel looks clean and modern, but after staying two nights its obviuos they have a poor maintenance schedule. Our door lock was loose at the base, several poorly done caulk smears in the bathroom, our floor was uneven, and again the light fixture out and non working fridge. The front desk is poorly staffed, they are rarely there, There is no house phone. This place is just below average for a cheap place to stay. It all boils down to the personnel and their attitude.
Guest Services & Comp Wine

My check in experience was really welcoming, I had never stayed at a courtyard that was as welcoming and friendly as this. I was already having a horrible morning, Chantal greeted with with respect and acknowledge that i was just not having it, she offered herself to bring me the free wine that they have which was to my surprise amazing. It was really kind of her to do that. Rooms are very spacious, their back patio is really lovely always see little bunnies jumping around. Cleanliness was really spotless definitely a place to go to. They also wrote me a letter wishing me a blessed morning.

The hotel is truly beautiful. Clean rooms, great food, free wine, and the front desk clerk, Chantal, was very kind and helpful. Just a very calm, relaxing environment. 10/10 would definitely stay again.
Heater Broken / No Free Breakfast

This place was awful. Had I known my boss would have OK'ed the move to a different hotel, I would have gone in a heartbeat. I had no heat for several days in the middle of winter and spent my time wrapped in the sheets off the bed. It took about 3 days for someone to finally do something about it.
The next thing - I went down to get coffee and, to my surprise, was pointed to the in-house StarBucks. They had no complimentary coffee at all, unlike just about every other hotel in the country. The next morning, after nearly freezing to death at night, I went down and there was 0 breakfast - nothing at all, just pointed towards the bistro with ridiculous prices. They couldn't even provide a dang doughnut - anything. They charge a small fortune to stay there and offer absolutely nothing in return.
Last bit - I was charged when I booked the room on my company card and charged again when I left after a couple weeks. I got the charges fixed through the bank, but they really should check their billing system. I am on company credit but if someone else was paying out of their pocket, they could rack up a nice bill and be screwed on their bank account.
All-in-all, I would NEVER stay at this hotel again. There are much better options in Midland that offer complimentary breakfast / coffee, that don't overcharge their customers, and that can fix an issue without it taking half a week.
