I travel for business and I've stayed multiple times at this specific Marriott. Honestly, I wish the Marriott would use this as an example of what service should be like in all of their courtyards. After a stressful day of work, the hotel has a cute/clean bar, a wonderful selection of meals (nothing too fancy) and they will even bring it to your room, as well as a glass of wine. I honestly can't even begin to rate them against other Courtyards as they are closer to the level of what I expect from a Marriott resort. Bravo/a! Keep up the great work!

I recently stayed here for 3 nights on a business trip and really enjoyed my stay. The gym and hot tub/pool were great and being able to jog around the University campus was a bonus. The food was above average for the area and the room was what you’d expect for a Courtyard.

My husband and I recently stayed at the Marriott Courtyard in Newark, Delaware, for the occasion of a wedding. We are loyal Marriott guests, and have stayed in many types of Marriott hotels through the years. I usually have experienced that the Courtyard offers the least in the way of space and comfort. However, we had a very pleasant surprise in this case. The hotel is beautifully decorated, altogether modern and clean. It is bright and airy everywhere, and there is a gem of a little landscaped terrace behind the hotel, where my husband and I enjoyed sitting and talking about life. The room was unusually spacious for a Courtyard property. We had a king sized bed that was very comfortable. The room design was excellent, with a little alcove for making coffee, and great lighting throughout. I appreciated being able to open the window and hear the birds singing in the beautiful trees on the terrace. Breakfast is not included, but there is a cafe in the lobby, where a very accommodating chef made us a delicious and healthy breakfast of frittatas. The staff was extremely helpful and attentive. They appeared very young, and we learned that some may have been students from the University of Delaware, who are majoring in hospitality. Perhaps this is the reason that the facility is a model hotel. We would certainly stay here again if passing through Delaware.

I stayed there for a conference at university of delaware. the hotel is right on the campus site. It is nice and clean. I really liked their oatmeal for breakfast, although overpriced. A nice touch is that they have a computer in the lobby that allows you to check in and print boarding passes.

I paid $280/night, but I can't hold that against them over move in days. The hotel is a nice, clean Courtyard by Marriott. You know what you should get, and there were no unpleasant surprises. The staff, however, was perhaps the nicest most helpful collective bunch of folks I've ever encountered at a hotel, and I travel a lot.. We were a pain, having them hold a lot of my daughter's stuff in their offices even after we checked out (retrieved them later to unload to her room), and they could not have been nicer or more helpful. I don't think I could get by that front desk (or anywhere else in the hotel, frankly) without a friendly staff member greeting me or asking if everything was OK in the most gracious unobtrusive way possible.
