Dear Courtyard Management,
I am writing this to let you know how disappointed I am with the quality of service at your hotel.
When I went to The Bistro, my third and last attempt, there is only one person working at the entire Bistro. The poor Bistro person takes the drink order, makes the drink order, takes the food order, makes the food order, delivers the food and drink order, buses the dirty tables, restocking food and items that they run out of, washing the dishes and kitchen utensils, answering the phone and taking to go orders.
Please tell me how one person is supposed to handle all of these duties and provide good customer service, unless maybe if they are Superman? After waiting for exactly twenty-three minutes in line and a total of nine people in front of me and seven behind me, I gave up waiting any longer. What happened to you Marriott? You used to care about customer service as your number one priority? Unfortunately, it does not look like you care about it anymore. I feel bad for your over worked and over stressed employees, I am surprised that they continue to work for such a poor-quality hotel. I hope that you take note of this problem, not only for me but for the other sixteen unsatisfied customers in line on my third and last attempt.

I stayed here for a week on a business trip. From the moment I walked in the staff was just amazing. I was on the ground level and it was convenient to all amenities. My room had a musky smell and the team offered a new room but I refused, I had already unpacked. I was told that new carpeting was needed and that was the reason for the odor, but I chose to stay and appreciated the offer of a different room. The staff recognized me after our first initial meeting and greeted me every time they saw me. The menu is not large but has a good selection, it was so nice to not have to stop to pick up dinner each night before heading back to the hotel. Each morning I got oatmeal to go and to me the price was equivalent to Starbucks but the portions were larger. This was a nice comfortable hotel with indoor pool, an area to order a drink and enjoy a meal, the staff is phenomenal and I would stay here again.

I paid the most to stay at this hotel as I did anywhere else the whole trip. Everything is broke like ice machines. Had no coffee and overall everywhere else I have been staff has been so professional and friendly but the total opposite here. What to go to Monterey while in the area. Now wish I would of stayed back in Bakersfield. There is nothing in regards to this hotel I can recommend. Marriott what a let down!!!!

I am in Salinas regularly. Not my favorite place to travel. Most of the time I am there for just a day, but occasionally have to stay overnight. I had previously stayed on the other side of town until I learned the area was not particularly safe despite the hotel being decent. So this was my first stay at this hotel. My husband came with me for this trip. He used the lobby area to work and found the Wifi to be adequate. The room was comfortable. I also used the gym facilities which were typical for a hotel of this class. I was somewhat disappointed with the food offerings at this particular Courtyard. As I frequently stay in Courtyard properties I found the menu to be smaller than others. Staff were really great. Very helpful and pleasant. Will definitely stay here again.

The room itself was top notch, really comfortable. We made great use of the large indoor pool also. Only lost a point because of the price. We paid a good bit with no breakfast included. We really enjoyed our stay though and would stay again.
