I stayed here for a conference, the staff at check-in was very friendly and offered a good restaurant recommendation. This hotel is in a good location in relation to restaurants and the Allen premium outlets. I would’ve liked to have had a walk in shower rather than a shower/tub combination and the outlets do not have a USB plug-in you have to bring your own outlet to USB which is annoying when traveling. There are several good restaurants within walking distance and there’s an above ground parking garage. Clean, spacious rooms.

Hotel was undergoing renovation, so some of the features were unavailable. Conveniently located next to the Allen Events Center and a shopping/restaurant district. When the Events center is busy, parking is next to impossible. The hotel gives you a pass for the top floor for the garage across the street, but this is a long walk away from the hotel.

we had a total of 5 rooms for two nites. They have renovations going on. one room first of all had a bathroom door that would not open all the way. the hinge had been put on backwards ,then the same room had a toilet problem so they moved them to another room and it also had a toilet problem. There was a brad staple laying in the floor in my room that had supposedly been vaccumed. luckily I had my houseshoes on when I almost stepped on it. It Tub was stained on bottom. was a quiet hotel lots of shopping and food close

Stayed here for a business trip. Very nice hotel in a nice area. I liked that the meeting rooms had windows. I also liked that my room had a balcony. The only thing i didn't like is how freezing the rooms were kept. It was so cold i could hardly focus. Even when the hotel was asked to turn the air down, it still was unbearable. It was so bad that during breaks i had to go stand outside to warm back up.

We booked two rooms here for two nights to attend a wedding being held in the area. We know that it was likely selected to be the wedding hotel because of its price point and proximity to the interstate and shopping. The hotel was under renovation and much of the lobby was torn up. Our rooms were on the 4th floor where no renovation had yet taken place, so the rooms and carpeting looked old and tired. The couch in our room was old and the cushions were very soft and made sitting uncomfortable. The towels were thin and scratchy. The AC in our room was very noisy and definitely was having problems keeping up with the 90 degree temperatures outside. The bed was comfortable enough, but for the person sleeping near the wall, the 8 inch space between the bed and wall wasn't easily managed, especially at night. Also given the bed's proximity to the arm of the couch, it was tough to get maneuver in the dark. My husband and I felt quite cramped in the room, but there really wasn't any place you could go and sit in the hotel if you left your room. We went to nearby McKinney the day of the wedding and were surprised that when we came back to the hotel around 2:30 that our room had not been made up. I called housekeeping and just asked for fresh towels, which arrived quickly. I've been a Marriott rewards member for many years and don't see the value anymore as expansion seems to have diminished many hotels in this brand. I can't recall the last time being a rewards member got me any special attention. The hotel restaurant is very sterile and offers very limited options from an order at the counter and wait for your food to find you (ala Corner Bakery), but there are many other restaurants nearby. It was good to have a covered garage option for parking across from the hotel. I can't recommend this hotel.
