We loved this place! Perfect for our family of 4, a little far from west entrance of Yellowstone, this home had everything we needed upon arrival. Really enjoyed the jacuzzi on the patio and the serenity of this home. Heated floor was a plus and kitchen very well equipped for our cooking needs. The only thing I would change are the bed sheets( a little old in my opinion), but not a really big deal. We stayed in home # 7.

I stayed in a 2 bedroom Cabin at Moonlight offered through Moonlight Lodging, and could not have been happier. The most incredible thing about these units are the views, and even though the resort has managed to get quite a few units on the hillside, it was planned so that each one has remarkable views of the surrounding mountains. I was only their for 2 nights for work, and I wish I could have stayed an entire week! The photos attached are taken from the hot tub, where I spent quite a bit of time at the end of the day.
There was a trailhead for hiking right down the road from my cabin. I did not hike it, but with more time, I would have!
It did not affect me - but should be noted that there was not a closet to put away clothes/my suitcase. Also, the unit was small enough that I am not sure I would want to stay there with another couple - for 2 people though, or for a small family - these units would be perfect.
I used the free wifi offered at the lodge, and also enjoyed having a glass of wine there one night! The indoor/outdoor slopeside pool is quite nice, as is the hot tub with the fountain going into it. What you hope for when you book resort lodging in the summer!

Rented a 3-bedroom, 3 bath condo at Moonlight Basin for our annual "guys ski trip." Really a lovely condo unit that slept 5 comfortably. Hot tub on the deck off the master bedroom was a really nice feature. The Lodge at Moonlight Basin is really delightful. Nice, full service restaurant, bar and coffee bar. Also a pleasant common area for donning and doffing ski boots.
The staff at Moonlight Basin were remarkably helpful and really made great efforts to accommodate our requests for assistance.

We've been doing our annual winter ski trip to Colorado for almost 10 years and for the first time ever, we chose Montana this winter and couldn't have been happier with our decision. The cabins at Moonlight (we stayed at #4 on Spur Rd) can comfortably host 2 couples with plenty of space, a well-equipped kitchen, and a personal hot tub sitting right on the the ski-in/ski-out porch outside the front door. Couldn't have asked for anything better! Great trip! We'll be back!

I would highly recommend staying this cabin for Yellowstone visitors during summer season. This place is a bit far from west gate of Yellowstone; it takes 45mins drive, but you will enjoy staying clean, quiet and fairly new cabin. 6 of us slept in one cabin which has two bedrooms and one living room. We actually saved big money instead of spending 3 bedrooms with any hotel near Yellowstone. The room was not large but they are very clean. One of rooms has bathroom inside we, all girls, were very comfortable to use bathroom. The cabin has excellent kitchen equipment, and we enjoyed cooking our meals every night and made fresh coffee every morning. There is no BBQ grill. We knew it before we went there. If they provide BBQ grill, we would love to have BBQ party. We also enjoyed using hot tub outside of balcony area every night. We saw fox there. The lobby of Check In building was beautiful. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We needed to send fax, and she was very helpful and friendly and even it was free of charge. Lovely place!
