I have just returned from 8 wonderful nights at the Craigie Guest House and upon arrival, I was greeted by the brilliant Bill Ryder and his wife Carol. Both made my stay a warm and comfortable one and I had everything I needed throughout my stay there. Regrettably, it will be the last time I will ever stay there as the owner is retiring this month and I want to take this opportunity to bid you a warm, safe and prosperous retirement.
The breakfast every morning was without doubt cooked to order by Bill and enjoyed by me without fail and it was a pleasure to chat to Bill every day during breakfast.
I had a gorgeous view of the racecourse from my room, which had what I needed and was comfortable and warm and was called The Honeymoon suite, which would have suited a married couple as well as happy singletons like myself.
My grateful thanks to Bill and Carol for me staying there and here's to a long and a happy retirement to you both. Good luck!!!

I booked at short notice, arrived late. Welcome was friendly, Room immaculate, breakfast great. Nothing was too much trouble for Bill, so hospitable. Business trips can be cold and sterile. I could not recommend this B+B more. I have stayed im many this was one of the best.

Just spent a fantastic weekend at this lovely guest house. I was born and raised in Ayr, so I knew the location very well. The location was ideal as less than a 10 minute walk from the railway station and from the town centre. The room was huge and spotless. The ensuite was immaculate and also very spacious. The host was very friendly and could not do enough for us. The breakfast was great and set us up for the day.
I would definitely recommend this guest house for anyone coming to Ayr and I will be using it again the next time I am back up to see my family.

Stayed here for the Western Meeting at Ayr Racecourse. Could not believe how close to the racecourse we were. What a fabulous place to stay this is too. On arrival we were met by Bill who helped with our bags & cases. Superb breakfasts every morning. Spotlessly clean. Bill is a great host and nothing at all is too much trouble for him. I would definately stay here again with no hesitation.

Stayed here early June 2016.
The accomodation was first class. Location wise it was about a short 10 minute walk to the town centre, over the river Ayr. Easy to get to the the train station and it backs on to the racecourse.
The highlight of our stay was the breakfasts. Bill and Carol do a wonderful breakfast. During our stay the welcome we received was second to none,in the short time we were there we were treated like being part of their family. Only sorry we could not have stayed longer. A1
