The hotel is very fancy, Pretty pricey but acceptable for only one night before taking a plane the next morning, Chinese restaurant excellent, Large fancy room with only a couple of broken things, the most important being that the faucet in the sink didn't work, but we could get by for our short stay by using the bathtub faucets. But the airport shuttle was a near disaster. We had an Air France flight at 10 am and after 2 intense weeks in China wanted to have some extra time to buy something to read, have breakfast and get a few gifts, . Shuttle: Lie #1 (concierge): you can leave the hotel at 8:30. Fortunately I knew better and said 7 am. Why so early?? Lie #2: the shuttle will take you directly to terminal 2. No. The driver, took a couple of people to terminal #3 first, and got into a horrible bumper to bumper traffic jam. Also the driver, instead of driving skillfully, talked non-stop and played with his phone. Lie #3: don't worry, it will take 20 to 30 minutes. No. Took about 65 minutes and really stressed us out.

This is a perfect Hotel, The staff, service, and location are perfect, all the staff was helpful and kind during all our stay. I hope we can go back anytime soon. They got us a tour and some advice for places to visit and we are very thankful for them.

Overall I really liked the Hotel. The absolute bonus is the free and frequent airport Shuttle bus that goes on the hour and every half hour. When you come out of International arrivals at Terminal 3 of the airport you need to go down a level and outside and on the second road by a number 5 you will find it waiting. You need to go out the front side of the airport not the back - it is a little complicated, but you can ask around and if I can find it anyone can!
My room was lovely and kept really well indeed, cleaned everyday with toiletries and water always topped up. The desk was great for work but you need a computer you can plug into the wall to get the internet in your room. I could only get wi-fi in the lobby which was fairly frustrating.
It seemed to me it was an efficient and friendly Hotel. Check ins and out too were efficient. The staff were very helpful. It was a little frustrating early in the stay not to be able to communicate very well with the front desk over a little thing so a phrase book would be handy to have on hand.
The map the Hotel gives you includes an ad for a tour company going under the name Beijing Youth Travel service. However I cannot recommend this company. Having booked and got up really early to do a day tour they never turned up, leaving it too late for me to re-organize which was very disappointing. When the hotel phoned them they claimed I never booked and as I had e mails and a phone call with them that was a lie, so clearly not a trustworthy outfit unfortunately.
The food too is very disappointing. Meals are expensive and very meagre. I recommend walking to Hong Kong Cafe next door for chinese food and Lakers cafe for Burgers and pasta instead. There is also an amazing new complex nearby - a taxi ride tho- with a cinema and a Blue Frog restaurant that does great western food, cocktails and happy Hour offers. The restaurants in the Hotel never appeared to have anyone in them so I suspect other people think this as well.
Staff were building a gingerbread House out of real gingerbread over the days I was there for Christmas which was a lovely idea and would be enchanting for children.

Free shuttle bus every 30 mins and take about 30 mins. Nice friendly check in and upgrade/ lounge acc as for spire members. Nice big room with comfy bed, linens , bath, towels, etc. Big room safe for laptop/valuables. Situated near supermarket and easy access as to Beijing apparently. Plenty of parking. Huge gym covering two floors.room WiFi in 1740 poor, but good in exec lounge periodically (temperamental). Bteakfast hot options excellent, cold not so good. Best duck dumpling I have ever tasted. Alcohol happy hour in lounge. 17.30-19.30.
Several restaurants and fast food short walk away, along with haircut, bars and hyper market . Can check out at 6pm with spire, but after charged at half day rate

Room was spacious . Breakfast was great, a lot of choices. Check out was fast. The shuttle was across the street from terminal exit. We were very late at night but the shuttle was there. There was only a small sign in front of the shuttle so when it's dark you have to really look for it.
