Quiet, nice staff, cookies!
LetsGoMom96on 15/11/2017 04:57I stayed 4 nights for a conference. The hotel is clean, quiet, and a lady delivering cookies comes around nightly. The workout facilities are nice and Bordeaux was good for dinner. I believe the rooms are very well insulated for sound.
The issue I have that resulted in 3 stars was due to an issue with my room on the first day. It was remedied, but it should have been addressed by the hotel before I arrived since they were aware of it from past problems. I talked to staff that night and twice later and was told I would get a partial discount on the rate for the first night since it took quite some time to remedy the issue. When I went to check out there was no discount on the bill and it had been charged at that time. I then had to go over the issue for a fourth time and wait for them to issue the refund. In the end they did give me the discount on the first night, but if I hadn't asked for the copy of my bill at checkout I would have presumed I had gotten the discount they told me I was getting the previous evening. It was a business trip, the money doesn't go to me, it was the principle of doing what you say you're going to do and making sure rooms are ready and everything is working properly when guests arrive.
Pleasant hotel, friendly staff
limemeaton 08/11/2017 21:20My wife and I have stayed in twice in the last two months. The rooms are clean and the bed is comfortable. The staff is friendly and helpful and there is a restaurant in the lobby. There is also a coffee shop on the corner street. I recommend for business or pleasure.
Nice stay for a business trip
ahanthornon 05/11/2017 20:21Very nice hotel conveniently located right off I-496 in Lansing. Ample free parking; easy in, easy out back to the interstate or down the way to the Lansing mall with plenty of retail shopping and restaurants. Lobby was very modern with glass elevators, sitting area for watching TV, and a business center with access to computers and printer. There is an upscale restaurant/bar on the property as well (Bordeaux) that we did not visit, but seemed very nice with gourmet selections per the menu. The room we stayed in was well-appointed with everything you would need and a bed with nice linens. I cannot objectively review the comfort of the bed as nothing compares to my own bed, but was suitable for a decent night's sleep. Nice touch with the nightly cookies and milk delivery to your room as well.
Wedding Reception
Teresa Aon 20/10/2017 02:58I hosted my wedding reception at the Crowne Plaza. Kendra was amazing to work with. From the decor to the food was wonderful and we had many compliments about how well everything was ran, and how kind the staff was. We also spent the night there in the Ambasador Suite. My now husband said the bed was like sleeping on a cloud and now I guess we are mattress shopping soon. Everything was clean and great water pressure. The next morning we went to the breakfast buffet where we had a room set aside for us and family. The buffet was hot and kept up. We had no complaints and have talked about trying the Bordeaux for dinner sometime as we have never been. I am very happy with my choice for my reception.
Nice Property - Pricey - Breakfast Buffet & Service VERY Lacking
SyracuseJimon 10/10/2017 02:56Stayed five nights for business - had booked first across the street at The Country Inn & Suites and walked out after seeing (and smelling) the room.
The Crowne is a VERY nice property. Was very disappointed with the breakfast buffet and the lack of service or attention.
Rooms are great, lots of plug ins - inferior coffee service. VERY small bathrooms. But overall. A nice property.
Be even up on the 5th floor - "The Quiet Floor" - had a couple BAD nights with noisy neighbors.
