Booked as part of a cruise package, we always prefer IHG hotels so asked for this one.
The hotel is in a handy location for the port, literally 3 minutes for the NCL terminal which makes the shuttle fee a rip off! The room was upgraded to a corner suite which was pointless, we were only in it for 12 hours, but a nice touch, however, we couldn't use the bath because the plug mechanism was broken, the shower controls were hanging off the wall, nice modern touches like USB ports were disconnected and the whole place just needed tidying up. The restaurant was expensive enough but the food and the service was dreadful, the lobby shop was way overpriced the only saving grace for this place is the reception staff who were really lovely and helpful. The location of course is great if you are cruising NCL, it isn't close to the Long Beach airport so you may as well get your hire car from LAX and you breakfast from the Subway 200 metres up the street.

Three of us stayed in room 417 for 2 nights before we started our cruise. It is only about 5 mins drive from the hotel to the cruise port. The room was spacious for 3 people with
2 double beds & it has everything you need plus safe box. Free Wifi was included with good reception. However this is not your usual Crown Plaza hotel standard, the hotel looks tired & dated & there was a lack of staff & poor management. On our arrival & departure there was no one to help us carry our luggage even after we requested assistance. On the morning of our departure we found the hotel only has a small shuttle bus which can only take 6 people with luggage at a time. That morning there was approx. 50 people waiting for the shuttle bus & we waited over 1.5 hrs before we could get on the bus. It would have been cheaper & quicker for us to order a taxi from the hotel to cruise port. ( the hotel charges US$5.50/person one way)

The hotel is tired and in need of a refresh, but the staff and their service delivery more than makes up for it! However beware the outside steps.... badly broken tiles and floor slabs mean I went over on my ankle and ruined the last days of my US trip. Thanks God the hire car was an automatic, as I would never have been able to change gear!

this place is near the airport I believe. Two separate beds. Have a deal for breakfast. 2 people dine would be cheaper by the person if you pay for 2.
A lot of sofas to rest on as you wait. A lot of airline workers in the hotel

The only nice thing to say is the front desk staff was great and the bed comfortable. But the hotel is run down and grossly overpriced. I now see the price is almost half what we paid I am guessing this is because we were there for a convention. Location is far from the convention center ~10+ minutes and the neighborhood around the hotel is quiet, read dead. Really not what I expected from the Crown Plaza brand
