Shuttle was on time until passenger forgot to get off at Delta and had to be taken around again. Driver was patient and tried hard to make up the lost time. Good job. Just got here so can't rate hotel, but it is a great location!

Room was adequately updated. Lobby pleasant. Very nice water view. Good location Shuttle to King Street and Airport. Valet parking. When we checked in, we expected access to a pool, but there wasn't a pool nor had there been access to one for 3 years. We pointed out it was in several advertisements that there was access to one. We reported an offensive odor in the elevetor the first day. It never was addressed. It smelled the whole time we stayed.

Their shuttles are frequently delayed or canceled with no apology. They supposedly pick up at 15 and 45 past at DCA, that's late 75% of the time. A promised early shuttle in the morning was not provided. Even on time, the shuttle makes an extra stop at the Holiday inn so the 8 minute trip frequently takes 20 minutes.
Noisy air conditioner units. 20 minute walk to King St.

The hotel has a great location in old town. It is only a block from the river. We stayed in room 614 and had a view of the river. It is about a 15 minute walk to the restaurants on King street. We will definitely return to the hotel. We got the parking package which saved $5 each day on parking.

We stayed here recently and had a good time. The friendly staff made us feel very welcome and the whole place had a nice atmosphere. The bedroom and bathroom facilities were spotlessly clean and fairly modern, and the hotel was only a short walk from the centre of Alexandria which has a number of good restaurants. The trip by bus into Washington DC is fairly short, but sometimes, at rush hours there can be delays.
We would recommend this hotel to all visitors.
