We were in town for a concert and stayed here for a long weekend. The room was updated and clean. We had the breakfast buffet which was delicious. We also had dinner at the bar one night and its was very good. A full menu was offered and we had delicious trout with couscous. They offer a shuttle to downtown for $5 a person round trip. That's a great value and they drop you right in the middle of downtown. We would definitely come back to this hotel next time we are in town.

What a fantastic hotel to serve as the place to.stay for our daughters wedding...we were in one of the loft suites...it was perfect..we had a bed area in the loft while having a full seating area with a dining room table that set 8. So our friends and family could spend time together without being in the bar or a smaller room...so nice..good food ..the breakfast buffet pleased our crowd.staff extra helpful

Not impressed! Way over priced for what you get. I expected a lot more for what we paid . We were very excited when we booked this trip and were looking forward to our stay. Unfortunately this hotel did not live up to our expectations. It seems very old and worn out . This hotel needs a facelift

I have not had the "pleasure" of staying here personally, however after the nightmare of trying all evening to reach someone urgently who was staying there I am disgusted and appalled.
After more than 2 hours of trying to call in and only receiving a continuous busy signal, we decided to reach out to Customer Care. They, too tried repeatedly to call with no success. Add to that a call to Verizon to see if it was a service glitch. No such luck.
Eventually, after exhausting all avenues we chanced to receive an incoming call from our party. That problem solved we decided to try several times more to reach the hotel, to no avail.
Upon reading countless reviews expressing concerns with unprofessional staff, subpar standard of the physical structure and infrastructure we are left with nothing to do but to accept as valid the "terrible" reviews.
We've yet to hear from Customer Care but willl follow through on filing a complaint.
I believe the multiple complaints that state the best advice they can offer is "don't stay here" are well-founded and with basis. That said, caveat emptor certainly also gets like the proverbial glove. One can only hope there truly was a technology glitch and that it's not a matter of a staffer who just doesn't want to help guests and simply laid the phone to rest long-term on the counter.
Sad to see what guest service, professional behavior, and hospitality mean to the next generation. Apparently not much.

We have stayed here many times , and although there are many other good options in Asheville we continue to come back !
The hotel has been undergoing renovations for several years and the rooms are updated , clean , comfortable and staff is always helpful and accommodating. Easy access to downtown Asheville too and the hotel also provides a round trip shuttle for $5!
