We stayed here twice while flying out overseas and when returning. One night was a rewards night. The hotel is conveniently located near the airport and offers a free airport shuttle. It is on the San Francisco Bay trail and has a picturesque setting. The rooms were standard. We were given early checkin. The West Bay restaurant is convenient. We had the buffet breakfast and lunch here.

stayed here for a conference in the city so we didn't have much choice. price was $300 per night and for that i expect no issues and a no hassle stay.
check in process and staff were great, bed was new and also great but there were a series of issues i shouldn't have to deal with when i am paying $300 per night.
1. Fridge didn't work - called maintenance - never worked
2. toilet is a tiny low budget model that i wouldn't put in my home...if the crowne plaze would spend $125 per toilet they would have something 3x nicer....also it required 2 flushes even for number 1...so I called maintenance and they fixed it.
3. TV...somehow this is messed up....took 20 seconds to change channels...called maintenance and they fixed it....still not great but much better.
4. highway noise - room 303 had lots of it...i would assume cheap windows are the cause.
5. outside window dirt/debris at the elevator area...windows need external cleaning...hello?
so overall multiple problems that a hotel manager paying attention would make sure is checked and fixed between guests.
on the positive side, front desk and maintenance staff were top notch which is why I am giving this 3 stars...the hotel manager gets 1 star for not being on top of these things.

I was only in town for the weekend this hotel was a good option and had a central location. While the hotel is a bit tired in appearance the staff was friendly and greeted me as a Rewards Member and was very friendly. This location is not far from the airport so some may think it is loud at night but something to expected. The bed was comfortable as were the pillows and the shuttle to the airport was reliable in both directions. There is also an area hotel shuttle for nearby Burlingame with cafes and shopping and near the bay and running paths.

We stayed here for 3 nights with my 5 months old baby. We started getting bits after the first night, and thought they were mosquito bites at first until the second day, our legs, arms and hands were covered with bites and burning itch. manager on duty showed no empathy and asked us to go to the doctors and get proof knowing we’re flying out the next day.
It’s a nightmare to end an otherwise memorable trip to SFO. Stay away from here.

Room is ok, good WiFi, hairdryer, iron/board... bed is comfy on the firm side, nice linens.
Bathroom is on the small side, one sink.
Food is good, breakfast waitress was slow and not very efficient, didn’t know the menu very well, didn’t offer water. Dinner at the bar was tasty, our waiter Tim was terrific. Nice huge screen tv in the bar. Bartender was not very skilled.
I agree with others that no safe in the room is bad, and the airport shuttle is “iffy”... we did note a SMALL signboard on the shuttle that there was no service sometime around 5-7 for the driver’s break, and it’s a long ride between the shuttle then the BART train to get into SF city.
Convenient short walk to restaurants and shopping locally, and a great walkway along the water.
