Room is clean and spacious. Hotel is located at city centre within walking distance to Pasar Siti Khadijah and nice local food. There is a kopitiam selling toast bread and half boiled egg right opposite the hotel, which is a must try. Friendly staff and parking is available at the back of the hotel.

Chrystal Lodge is nice, clean and modern hotel in a totally boring city. We did a stop-over on our way from Perhentian Island to Kuala Lumpur. An evening in Kota Bahru could be interesting, we thought. Such a mistake. If you should stay in Kota Bahru, however, we can recommend Chrystal Lodge. Value for money. We took the standard room and it is small but good. The breakfast on the roof top was OK but maybe a bit local. On the other hand I believe we were the only foreigners. They did only serve breakfast unfortunately, it was hard to find another restaurant in the city.
The hotel did arrange an airport transfer at an OK price.

The first impression i had when i arrived was just how friendly and professional the staff were. Everything from check-in to parking was done quickly without a fuss. The room didnt disappoint either, clean and comfy..bedsheets n towels were really new n clean, unlike the usual wornout ones we often get elsewhere. the complimentary bfast was a pleasant surprise...quite a large spread of western n local foods, simply delicious. With its central location, I definitely recommend it to travellers who are looking for a value added stay.

Great value for money - good location, friendly service, clean room & bathroom, it is equipped with everything you would expect from a good hotel at a very good price. Private parking and solid breakfast are included in the standard rates. Recommended if you are searching for basic accomodation and do not want to spend too much.

On our round trip through Malaysia Kota Bharu was our first stop on the east coast. Crystal Lodge has a good location, as mentioned before by others guests. After the open minded Georgetown, Kota Bharu appears to be in pretty opposition and so does Crystal Lodge: strictly islamic, they left me alone with my luggage, carrying only my boyfriends bag. The room we had was clean and had a fridge, an ironing board and an a/c. The overall impression of this hotel ist however desolate: almost no light entering the room, no decoration, no flower in the room nor a painting and an awful breakfast (if you have an option, try to avoid it). The parking is got though. Kota Bharu stops their entire business every 2 hours for praying and as a tourist you are hardly able to find some restaurants after 6 pm. I am not sure if i should recommend this hotel, also doubting other places in Kota Bharu would be more suitable.
