Juhani Kon 15/05/2017 08:58The service in the hotel was very friendly and hotel was very clean. I liked the buffet breakfast. My room was comfortable and quiet, but my colleague told of having been slightly disturbed by noise from the corridor.
Hotel just in the city centre
Markku Leppanen Lon 15/04/2017 15:02Cumulus Pori is in hearth of the city, facing the central bus station. Hotel offers good parking facilities-. All city attractions are within walking distance. Breakfast is a good traditional buffet including bacon, carelian pastry and eggbutter.
Good basic hotel
Teukkaon 20/01/2017 21:22Check-in was easy and fast. Hotel clerk were helpfully and friendly. Big plus for a couple of free parking spots behind a locked inner court. Hotel location is superb! Just a few hundred meters from the city center, but still easy to access.
Rooms were clean and peaceful. Points for empty minibar which we can use for our own supplies ;)
The pillow menu is also good extra service. Breakfast wasn't nothing special, but it was sufficient for us.
A bit overpriced night
Kari Von 06/08/2016 14:26As Pori center is not that big, all the major hotels in the area can be categorized with "excellent location". However, Cumulus is one of the two hotels that are closest to the bus station and about 10 minute walk to the train station as well as to the market place.
The hotel offers free parking space behind closed gates. However they cannot be reserved so you can park there if there is space. The breakfast was good as it always is in Finnish hotels. There is typically no pastries or jam for those who are used to sweeter start of the day.
The room was pretty standard. Double bed took pretty much all the space from the room so there was just enough space to put our suit cases. There was also a free WiFi, which is rather a necessity than amenity these days for a traveler. Everything in the room was clean and I don't have anything to really complain about. The room key is a piece of history since it's still mechanical with set of holes in it. Then again, why change if it works!
And if you're reading these reviews when you're looking for a hotel to visit Pori Jazz, I hope you're reading these reviews super-super early!
Two nights in Pori
Yaniliinion 05/08/2016 15:16I booked the room through booking.com for three persons but in the hotel they told that they do not have rooms for three persons, and they were able to change the room to double with extra bed. This meant that our daughter had to sleep in spare bed. This was the last time I'll use booking.com.
Hotel itself was ok, big plus from adjustable air condition. Price was on ok level. Breakfast was good, they had also frozen yoghurt which was nice.
Location is excellent, just next to Pori city center and close to railway and bus stations.
I can recommend the place for travellers, which are not seeking luxury for accommodation.
