We stayed here for one night whilst travelling through France and were pleasantly surprised. The hotel has secure parking and the rooms were clean and comfortable and the receptionist was very helpful and spoke very good English. The hotel is within walking distance of the town centre which has a few restaurants and bars. A good choice if you just need a one night stopover.

Small hotel whose interior is not different from that of many standard motels. It is a three star hotel but I think its downstairs modest rooms need a renovation to really deserve a three star rating. It is surrounded by a small garden with a nice swimming pool. Breakfast is good. Breakfast room is small but there are some tables in the garden (why they don’t put more tables outside in summer?). There is a closed parking but reception has no 24h service. It is a 15-minute walk from the center and a good solution for a one night stop (Avallon seems not to deserve more) if you don’t need a 3 star hotel of high standard.

We spent one night here in the middle of a long road trip. The hotel is a little outdated and the rooms don't have much facilities. the beds are very small and too soft. There are a lot of hotels in this neighbourhood.

A very clean and comfortable hotel spoilt by a reincarnation of basil and Sybil fawlty
While Sybil was her unhelpful self when requested by a member of our group for a sandwich was unable to provide one as she only had one baguette, when a couple of French people came she did her best Jesus impression and behold three baguettes complete with fillings was produced.
Meanwhile Manuel who worked somewhere in the back ground was soon to appear when we started to enjoy ourselves telling us to be quiet as we were not the only ones in the hotel. Needless to say we will not be spending as much money or time here tomorrow night.

In January we stayed for a family visit nearby. It is a family owned hotel with very friendly and helpful staff, which is fluent in frensh. The hotel is clean and comfortable with free wifi, on-site gated, free parking, a bar to relax and an outside pool. The breakfast was very good on all days. The hotel is only a short walk from the city center of Avallon, with restaurants (we loved eating at Cheval Blanc).
