It really feels like Daniel and his wife have warmly accepted us into their home, except the whole floor is ours (including the other guest's) and our sheets are changed every two days. The location is perfect - right by the Kathakali theatre, Santa Cruz Basilica, and a leisurely walk to Kashi Art Cafe or Dal Roti. We rented the room for 3 weeks, also having been to Fort Kochi before - and it's safe to say, that it's the best guesthouse for the price (and beyond) in the whole area for us.
It is the cleanest room we've stayed in during our 4month trip across India. Not only that, but they provide room cleaning service to keep it that way during the whole of our stay! You can also always brew yourself some free tea or coffee in the common corridor and relax in the calm breeze of the neighbourhood from the balcony door.
I was constantly amazed by how they went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. Even when the wifi was gone for an hour, Daniel came up of his own accord to give us the password to their own router. We were offered juice and mangoes. On my departure they both gave me a ride to my bus, and I really felt like I was saying goodbye to my own foster grandparents! They were too great for my own good, because after knowing them for 3 weeks, I miss them now.
They are the loveliest couple ever. They will go out of their way to make you feel home, but they will also give you space.

We traveled a lot in India, and this is, by far, the best place we stayed in. Daniel and his wife are the nicest and most generous hosts we had. The room is cute and clean, and Daniel was attentive to all our needs. It's location is perfect, near restaurants and attractions in Fort Cochi and near tuk tuks if you need a quick ride somewhere. It's a lovely place in a lovely city and we can't thank Daniel enough for his hospitality.

We really enjoyed our time at Daniel's Homestay. The owners are very friendly and helpful. The room was perfect, comfortable and clean. There are tea making facilities in the Homestay. Excellent location, close to lots of restaurants but away from the noisy traffic. We highly recommend Daniel's Homestay and will stay here again when we come back to Kochi! Thank you

I was in kochi for the bienniale and stayed here for 3 nights. the couple who run the place are wonderful, they have kept the place clean and hygienic, basic amenities like hot water, kettle, a dining area , wifi, etc are available.it was like staying at home, not a hotel. its great value for money and the couple are very honest and gave me a discount since i dint use the ac. and i stayed alone in a two bed room. overall, very comfortable and relaxed environment and experience.

Great place, nice and clean rooms, very lovely, warm and gentle pleople!
You feel immediately at home, as they are very willing to help you with whatever you want to know, bring you whatever you need and they take good of the place, as it's very nice, clean and comfortable.
I would very much recommend this place in Cochin, enjoy your stay!
