Beautiful hotel with spacious grounds overlooking the Blue City Medina. Gorgeous suites are very comfortable and semi-secluded for privacy. Meals were very good and the service was fantastic. Just a short walk to the old town medina.

This is a beautiful hotel with a great sunset view of Chefchaouen from the patio and pool area. Several of the rooms also have lovely patios and sitting areas. I loved the quiet peaceful room and the fact that the hotel is only a short walk to explore the medina.

Stayed here for 2 nights as part of our tour and this was the highlight in accommodation. The place is beautiful. Wonderful grounds, swimming pool, view over the city and very close to the medina and market area. Our room was lovely. We had a small private balcony with table and chairs. Bed was the most comfortable one we had in a Morocco on a 12 day trip. Bathroom looked like it had been very recently renovated, as the shower, toilet and basin all looked brand new. Got a little chilly at night, but found 2 extra blankets in the rooms cupboard. Restaurant meals weren't the cheapest you can get, however they were really lovely and better quality than the cheaper ones. Would love to stay again, we thought it was the perfect base to explore this lovely city from!

I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights towards the end of my 13 night trip around Morocco. This place was one of my favorites! It had a crafty feel to it and was a bit quirky. My room was small, but was fine for one person. It was sort of like a Moroccan chalet. I liked it! It had an amazing view over the blue city and I could see the sunset over mountains. (room 8)
Lots of stairs, but the staff will carry your bags.
The grounds and pool were beautiful. The pool was very cold, but felt refreshing after walking in the medina in the heat.
The location is quiet and peaceful but not far from the medina. There are also hiking/ walking trails in the area. The staff were helpful and friendly and spoke great English. I really enjoyed the staff here. In my opinion, they are what makes this place! They are very nice and accommodating.
I thought the food here was very good. Especially the goat yogurt w/honey and pomegranate, and the goat cheese! I only gave this place 4 stars because I read other reviews that said eggs were available, but I was not offered any.

A short distance from the hustle and bustle of Chefchaouen is Dar Echchaouen, a special enclave on the hillside above the town. I was totally charmed by this place from the moment I stepped through the heavy wooden gate! Beautifully landscaped tiered gardens, bright flowers, pottery urns, a lovely fountain and terrace surround the stone path leading to reception, where we were warmly welcomed. Our group relaxed in the restaurant area and was served mint tea as refreshment. The friendly staff helped carry our bags up the steps and past the beautiful pool to Chalet 1, which is amazing. The cottage boasts a spacious livingroom with fireplace, flatscreen tv and mini-fridge, and 2 lovely double bedrooms each with an en suite bath. And if that isn't enough, an outdoor staircase leads up to a terrace with incredible views of Chefchaouen and the surrounding mountains -- perfect for sunsets. A typical Moroccan breakfast (included) with assorted breads, jams and olives, coffee and tea, is served in the morning, and eggs are available upon request. The restaurant also serves delicious lunches and dinners (make a reservation). The weather was warm and sunny when we visited, so having a pleasant place to relax by the pool was a real treat. All in all this place is divine -- it was so hard to leave!!!
