Highly over priced hotel, with service that would embarass a budget lodge. Most amenities in the room do not work and maintenance staff take their own sweet time to land up. AC, when functioning, works more like a cooler. Checked in, dog tired, after a long journey but found no towels in the room, and no hot water in the bathroom! Until maintenance staff turned up decided to order room service; but none of the dishes ordered were available and was 'recommended' to eat what was available! Had to seek out nearby restaurants in pouring rain. Worse, hot water NEVER materialised even the next morning, and had to check out. Complaints to front desk are recorded, but nothing happens! Avoid, unless in an emergency.....much better places available in the vicinity, at better rates.
Too many maintainance issues!

Stayed for 5 days during the annual FOCUS conference with a colleague. Had read reviews in advance and requested for a twin sharing bedroom away from the market to minimize the fish market smell and noise. Check in was fine and rooms were neat with good bedding and mattress, medium sized room which was comfortable. Then the issues started. The ac refused to switch on in the evenings and it's quite humid in thrissur, one definitely needs the ac to be in working condition. This happened on both the 3rd and 4th Evening of our stay, and the electrician had to open the false ceiling and fix the loose electric wiring. The second repair wasn't adequate and we woke up sweating on our 5th morning as the ac gave up halfway through the night. They shifted us to another room that evening where the ac was working fine. However, both rooms had a remote hanging from the wall and it was always either a setting that made the room too cold or warm. There was only lukewarm water available for bathing, except for one day when it was hot. Upon being asked the reason, the management replied that it was because all rooms were occupied and everyone was using up the hot water! Audacious! Not to mention the small showerhead which threw sharp thin jets of water and made bathing an assault, forcing us to use buckets on all days. The breakfast was included with our package and they tried to serve it 15 minutes earlier than usual since all of staying had to reach the conference by 7 30. Breakfast was fresh but cold, which was surprising because one day that we went late, the breakfast at 9 30 was piping hot. They blamed it on the inadequate warming from the serving pots. Breakfast spread was ok but boring with minimum change in the menu on all 5 days. Omlette was good and served daily. Idli dosa were cold and served daily with sambhar and chutney, poori was served daily with some variation in the bhaji. Coffee was bad. Overall, for 10k over 5 days for two of us with proximity to jubilee mission hospital, it turned out to be an ok deal, as it still seemed better than other hotels in the same range nearby. There's Mall of joy nearby where one gets decent groceries, spices and banana chips. Fish smell in the air bothered us on last two days, thankfully it was limited to the corridors and didn't stink up the rooms. Last minute check out time was made more eventful by their sudden lack of running water when we were in a hurry, they made us wait but ended up giving us a bucket of water to use just as we ran to get into our cabs. We walked down to joy palace hotel for dinner buffets on two days, as the royal court restaurant there had good ratings, it came up to 550 per person including taxes and was a great spread! Dass continental lunch buffet was decent as well, with the same issue of cold food. Their chicken sandwich was excellent which we ordered for room service on the last day, and wished we had discovered it earlier. Overall an average stay, could be better if their maintainance picks up. The staff did their best to troubleshoot all the above problems, which is commendable.
Good, but

The room 402 is spacious and comfortable. Lighting in the fresh room is not adequate. Moreover, the looking mirror kept in that room is not convenient to use and it has no light also. The common areas like corridor, lift, dining hall, etc.. lack cleanliness. Food served is just Ok. The complaints of guests are attended but take more time to satisfy. For instance, it took more than 20 minutes to replace the coffee maker that was not working in our room. Staff lack courtesy and need training for attending the customers.
Exceptional service team

Oohs well it's something about their conference hall what I need to share about. We had an awesome experience at this hotel for my wedding day. The staff were super cool and so does the managers. Except for their chairs which seems a bit old remaining all was fine. Would suggest you to go for this for any events holding 100-300 guest easily
Wouldn't recommend this hotel at all

Have been to this hotel twice for functions, trust me it's just not worth it. Apart from the location, nothing else is really good. Poorly skilled staff (most of them from outside Kerala), cleanliness is way out of the window, facilities and amenities are just awful. One of the manager think his name is Satheesh ..he is one hell of a guy who doesn't know how to treat a customer . For him it is always his way or the high way. We pay money for the facilities but according to this guy- you either take it or leave the premises. Satheesh u really need to learn some hospitality. Over all it was just a waste of time and money.
The guest relation manager might type in a reply saying we will do our level best to make things better..but trust me nothing changes in here .. a humongous NO!! NO!! to this hotel. Never ever gonna visit again. Absolutely ridiculous staff and hotel
