We stayed here due to proximity to Harvard. The man who checked us in was very helpful and friendly.
We had adjoining rooms, both were quite dark, very low ceilings in the corridors.
The hotel is very dated and needs some time spent on maintenance and decor. One toilet blocked on the first night, this was fixed once we told reception, however after that every time we flushed the room below us had our toilet water coming through their sink, I can only imagine how unpleasant that was. Although maintenance were doing their best to fix it.
Although safe and cleanish I think there are other places to stay in the price range that we would look into if returning to Boston.
Beyond disappointed & will be contacting their corporate office

Front desk clerk asleep behind counter when first arrived. Took over 10 min to wake him up. Finally shuttle driver went behind desk & had to wake him up.
Front desk clerk said he had to run up to room to see if it was ready. Paperwork said I was in room 512, but cards in holder showed room 509.
Wireless connection was so weak we couldn't get connection.
Was told there'd be a continental breakfast when booking room, but found out there's nothing provided.
The plaster on the ceilings is coming off & we've had to brush off the comforter. There's water damage & an active wet ceiling mark where the carpet underneath is wet. Whiskers on the wall next to the tissue holder as well as in tub under faucet.
Toilet doesn't flush properly & we've had to go down to lobby to use the bathroom. When mentioned to front desk staff on evening of 7/26 she said she'd come look at it. I asked if she was also maintenance & could she fix it? She replied, "No, but I can come up & look at it to see if I can try to fix it." I said just send up maintenance. She said there was none. Once up in room, phone rang, but when I went to answer it, hand piece wasn't even connected to cord. I reconnected it, but then no one was there.
Neither of our room keys worked when trying to return to our room evening if 7/26
Bathroom area is absolutely disgusting & doesn't look like it's been cleaned in a very long time.
Everything has been reported to front desk staff the evening of 7/26. Asked to speak to a manager & was told he wouldn't be in till 10:30 am morning if 7/27. We had to check out at 9:30 am to get to our next appointment/travel plans.
When sitting at desk, it got my white shirt dirty.
Best part of facility is at least we had a view of the river.
Was told while leaving & speaking to front desk clerk that the hotel was bought out & closing down. I truly hope the next organization does better than Days Inn has.

clean comfortable room, relatively reasonable price for the city. twin beds, not really big enough for 2 people who are used to a king bed.
Request fro late checkout was denied with the comment that they were fully booked. Not likely! The afternoon before when we called to reserve, we were told that rooms were very available !
Good Deal for the Price

Convenient location with Charles River park across the road in front; bus stop and McD's on the street behind. The three cars in the parking lot with flat tires, no license plate and one broken window didn't give you a good impression upon arrival. The hotel is dated but the rooms are fine and we weren't in the room much anyway. Front desk staff are very helpful.
surprisingly wonderful

i used my choice points for this. i was upgraded to a large suite. lots of snacks were provided in the room. the food at the restaurant was excellent. the breakfast was delicous and the waitress was very polite and kind. the gentleman who checked me into the room was very kind also. the bed was good and the shower was nice and hot. also there was free parking who you can't always count on in boston. just a great time.i would certainly stay there again! i didn't expect it to be as nice as it was!
