I traveled from Florida in order to run away of the hurricane. I booked this hotel by mistake. Called the girl explaining the problem. She said they wouldn't charge anything if I cancelled that day. I cancelled and they charged me for that

My stay at this hotel was great.staff always very helpful,friendly and courteous.The room was always clean and comfortable.I would recommend this place to everyone traveling along I20.

The room was dirty upon arrival. There was a bug on the floor that i had to kill, a hair in the sink that was not mine as well as one on the wall in the bathroom. There were black toe prints in the sbower and the lining around the floor mat was black- I bleached the shower and it was better but still not something I should have to do as a paying guest. The pillows smelled terrible. I slept with a t shirt over my pillow and purchased a blanket to sleep with. I do not feel as though this room was cleaned correctly prior to my arrival. All staff was friendly but out of fear that another room would be worse I did not report these issues until now.

The motel staff were friendly, and professional, the property was clean and maid service great, however the mattress on my bed was the worse most uncomfortable thing I ever tried to sleep on. My 83 year old mother's was the same but she weighs considerable less than I and was not as bothered by it. My husband slept in another room with his invalid brother and described his as the same. I ended up sleeping in a chair for three days. I assumed that in that the property was sold out there were no other rooms to move to. I did report this to the front desk until we checkout and was told that she would look into the matter in that the beds were only a couple of years old. I assure you that I am not a complainer by nature but sleeping on a field of potatoes after evacuating from our home foe several hours in a car was no fun.

Not sure I would stay here again even in an evacuation situation. Staff was friendly but not a fan of cockroaches.
