Unbelievable

This place was horrible. The key cards didn't work. We changed rooms 3 times, before the clerk found a room that the card worked. It took over 1/2 hour. The room smelled, holes in lamp shade, concrete hump in the corner of room, tub dirty. Do not stay at this place ever.
Money thieves

Was taking family to a concert, which meant driving 3 and a half hours. Reservations were made back at beginning of May. Had confirmation in hand. They tell me that they had no reservation for me before ever checking my name, or confirmation number. They did the same thing to half the parking lot full of people who came from multiple different states. Many of the people had confirmations as far back as JANUARY! They refused to help find a new place. Complete ripoff. They didn't even offer refunds, and claimed that they didn't have all our money. They are thieves and liars. DO NOT PAY TO STAY HERE!!!
Worst hotel ever

My boyfriend and I decided to stay at this hotel while we went to the train concert in tinley park. The pictures do not match the hotel. It was the worst experience I have ever had. We arrived at the hotel thinking it was the days inn we had booked back in February. Even received a confirmation days before about our up coming stay at the days inn. When we arrived we noticed they had no signs and the employees were wearing motel 6 shirts. After 30 minutes of trying to check in the hotel finally found our reservation. We were sent to our room to discover it was just a run down room. Our sheets were stained clean but stained. Bath tub was discussing and there were stains all over the carpet that looked like blood. I immediately wanted to leave but did not have time to find a new room before our concert. Once we came back to our room there were tons of people outside our hotel room, they apparently rent to people at weekly and monthly rates. We we're kept up all night long from the partying and loud noises all night long. After check out I contacted days inn to be informed it no longer belonged to them even though our card was charged for a days inn we're were told sorry nothing we can do. I contacted motel 6 to receive no response. I do not recommend this hotel!!! It was a horrible experience that put quiet the get away down the drain.
"Security & Safety Concerns"

It was close to midnight Saturday June 3rd, 2017 when all of a sudden someone opened my door about 2-3 inches; were it not for the faulty latch this man would have entered the room with no problem. When I asked him what he was doing, he said he had the wrong room number. If he was assigned another room number how was he able to open my door freely? I called the Front Desk & he came to my room & apologized stating that the staff that was there earlier had indicated there was some issue. According to the Front Desk rep I was not even in their books, even after I paid cash. Lack of security is very dangerous because I also found out later from other guests that many drunk people frequent this area. This facility is not handicap accessible, thus anyone wanting a room on the second floor must take the stairs; NO ELEVATORS! EVEN MORE DISTURBING WAS THE FACT THAT NO NOTE WAS LEFT WITH THE FRONT DESK AFTER THE MIDNIGHT REP LEFT, THUS I HAD TO REHASH THE WHOLE STORY TO AN INDIFFERENT WOMAN AT THE FRONT DESK.. SHE SAID A MANAGER WOULD CONTACT ME MONDAY, JUNE 5TH, 2017. YEAH RIGHT. I WANT MY MONEY REFUNDED ASAP!! THE MANAGER NEVER CONTACTED ME EVEN AFTER I LEFT HER A VOICEMAIL. SOMEONE NEEDS TO REFUND MY MONEY. THIS SITUATION SHOULD NOT BE TAKEN LIGHTLY BY ANYONE.
Not the best choice

The first room that I was placed in was awful. The carpet alone was cause for me to immediately return to the front desk to ask for another room. In that same room, the television couldn't receive any channels. Access to the Internet was nonexistent. There was absolutely no way I was going to remain at this property for an overnight stay. I asked for a room closer to the front lobby area only because I was told that the Internet connection was better in that location. The room that I was relocated to was better - the carpet, the television, and I was able to get an occasional connection to the Internet. Based on the "advertised" Internet availability alone, I should receive a partial refund. The Internet was practically nonexistent in the rooms. The advertisement of free Internet is FALSE advertising. It was primarily because of the Internet that I remained in this property only 1 night. I was so desperate for Internet access, I went to the Double Tree hotel, that was approximately 200 yards from my
room, to use their Internet. If there had been a Starbucks or any other place nearby with free Internet access, I would have spent the majority of my time there, instead of in my room. Do NOT think about staying at this property if you want or need Internet access. You will be terribly disappointed. The selection of TV channels is poor. The hotel is in a remote location. You'll definitely want to have a vehicle to get to some resemblance of civilization. Were it not for the beautiful grounds on which the Double Tree Hotel sat on, this experience would have been even more unpleasant. Three good things to say about the experience. First, the gentleman who assisted me upon check-in was very, very pleasant. Second, the rate was definitely for someone on a budget. However, I got a reminder of that old metaphor, "...you get what you pay for...". Third, the breakfast was good. It was a hot breakfast, with eggs, sausage, waffles, pancakes, juice, etc. Because of the check-in, the room rate, and the breakfast, I can rate this property a 4, on a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being the highest. Whoever did the photography for the various areas of the property should get a bonus. The photos, versus what I actually saw, reminded me of glamor shots that some people take for their photos: It ain't the whole truth! This place was not my kind of place. No refrigerator. No microwave oven. No Kleenex tissues. I'm going to contact the administrative offices to request a refund of a portion of my cost, based on the rotten Internet access alone. Stay tuned for my updated review. In the meantime, shame on me if I return to this place ever again.
