The hotel was warm and welcoming ! The room was clean, comfortable, quiet and offered everything we needed. Usually when we visit family in Altavista we stay in Lynchburg. This hotel is much more convenient and we plan to stay here in future.

I highly recommend this hotel. I am a travel RN working at Centra hospital. Raj at front desk super nice and best price imaginable with quality clean room with great WiFi, fridge and microwave !!! This special hotel is nestled in beautiful mountains of Virginia. Great restaurants close by and Walmart down the road.

No elevators, outdated, overpriced

If I had paid what appears to be the typical $60 per night for this room, I would have likely left a two-star instead of a one-star rating. However, due to an event in the area that I was not aware of leaving all of the local hotels sold out, I paid around $300 per night for my room, for a total of over $650 for two nights once taxes and fees were added in.

Aside from the ridiculous, inappropriate price gouging that happens here, the hotel is also outdated and appears dirty. It rained the two days I had to stay here, and even the air in my room felt damp. It looks like the hotel hasn't been touched since whenever it was built, likely the 70s, so I imagine it's an insulation issue.

The rooms look dingy and old. It stated the room was nonsmoking, but based on the discoloration of the ceiling and walls, I'd imagine it used to be a smoking room. The lack of elevators may be a problem if you have a lot of luggage, so just be mindful you will have to take the stairs with all of your belongings while you are here. The continental breakfast is your basic continental breakfast you'd expect in a cheap hotel, nothing more.

I was very dissatisfied with the outdated appearance of the hotel, the limited option continental breakfast, the permeating dampness in the air, and the lack of an elevator... especially considering the ridiculous amount of money I paid for this room. Honestly, I've stayed in Motel 6 hotels that were cleaner and more pleasant than this Days Inn. I would not stay here again.

Staff were very helpful and friendly. Major complaint was trying to book through the hotel. Call was redirected to what I later was told the managers cell phone. At no time during the call were you told it was days inn. Further the call directed to said mailbox full! Other issue was constant failure of electronic door cards. They were replaced three times during a one night stay.
Again I must say staff were very nice and breakfast was very good.

It was really nice- i paid and picked a smoking room but the entire hotel.was non smoking
