Stayed here for one night before flying from stansted which is only 5 mins away, taxi cost us £15. Staff were lovely and helpful, unfortunately the people staying upstairs were very noisy and drunk and banging untill 1am so the staff moved us to another room very kindly and were very apologetic. Room was pretty old and slightly smelly but for such a cheap price we didn't mind too much, it seemed relevantly clean, very convenient hotel right next to services so easy to grab some dinner/breakfast. Would stay again.

We stayed at the days inn stanstead for just one night,it's was spotlessly clean staff were wonderful and helpful,the room was a good size and very clean.i would highly recommend this hotel if you flying out from stanstead early in the morrning.

Picked this hotel for a one night stay as we had an early flight booked from Stansted the following morning. We could have got a better hotel for the same price closer to the airport. All we wanted was a quiet basic clean room to get some sleep in before our holiday. Instead we discovered that the hotel was within a motorway service station which is not made clear on their booking.
When arriving the receptionist spoke poor English and kept saying “what” when I was giving her details our booking. While going to our room our first impressions were old and worn out hotel. Our room was musty, boiling hot, and not quiet at all. Noise was a major issue, all night we had to put up with planes flying over, workers at the service station dragging metal cage trolleys every hour, and lorries revving their engines outside. We also heard music from the next room all night through the cardboard walls. We could make out each song.
Bed sheets had an awful smell and had to use deodorant and aftershave on them just to tame the stench.
This room had no phone, no fan, no air conditioning, no spare sheets, no spare pillows, and the TV remote didn’t work. But worst of all was the heat. It was easily hotter than the destination of our holiday the next day!
Bathroom was horrendous. Old shower which didn’t work properly and awful shower curtain.
At least we only had to stay one day!

This is the worst hotel I have ever been to. Stayed there one night because of the early flight from Stanstead. Very old and shabby hotel, receptionist not nice at all and you have to pay 15 pounds to take taxi to the airport anyway.

Having read some of the reviews I was pleasantly surprised.
Reception helpful paper registration and touch screen for car number plate
Straightforward parking. Tesla charging points.
Room clean and tidy if a little worn
Bed comfortable/bathroom and shower good
Minimal noise from motorway did not affect sleep.
Television satisfactory. Tea making equipment satisfactory.
Can recommend the M11 service area for a wide variety of restaurants, a Waitrose etc
