Clean room, barn door for bathroom. Interesting but not really needed. Shower is rain type of shower head. I'd rather have one coming out of the wall with the rain as an option. Kuerig coffee maker but no cups? Cool lil full bar there also. Getting remodeled so should be nicer in the future. I'd stay here again.
Excellent

Stayed overnight, this is a very well appointed hotel. The beds are comfortable and I had a very good nights sleep. The air conditioning worked very well and the WiFi was fast and reliable. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to lodge in this area.
Good Value in Wine Country

I stayed at The Sideways Inn while wine tasting in Solvang, Buellton, and Los Olivos. The Sideways Inn is right off the 101 freeway, across the street from The Anderson's Inn that's famous for its pea soup. Of course The Sideways Inn is famous for the movie, "Sideways," but it looks much different from the inn Jack and Miles stayed in - in a good way. The inn has been renovated - new paint colors, tile floors in the bathroom, and modern decor. It's much cuter now and offers good value for what you get. There are many other places to stay in the area that cost double what you'd pay here. The breakfast that's included with your stay is purely continental: fruit, cereal, coffee/tea, etc. The bed was a little hard and we could hear the people above us walking around. Despite these minor details, I think The Sideways Inn is the best deal in town. I'd stay here again for a quick trip to enjoy the amazing wines this area has to offer.

Visit Nov. 8-2017
Room 402
Never been on such a fine hotel for that price and that's include breakfast. Check-in was easy and fast, front staff was very helpful.
As the picture shows not only the Room, shower but also the breakfast was great.
Definitely a place we would stay at again.
Spent two nights here on the way to San Diego

This renovated Days inn has Vintage charm with a reasonable price, good location and extra helpful staff. We added a second night after needing some medical care at the Cottage hospital in st ynes 4 miles down the street. The black and white theme, free breakfast and comfortable setting was a pleasure especially under the circumstances. A nice sitting area sported hummingbirds and a short drive brought us to Solvang for exploring. Would choose this gem in the middle of a Mecca of wineries as an affordable choice!!
