U4140DIjohngon 02/11/2017 16:59Room was relatively neat and clean. (Lamp had spiderwebs on shade, but otherwise ok.) Rates were reasonable. Quiet and comfortable. "Breakfast" leaves something to be desired, but is ok.
Not Worth the Price

Good night's sleep

Pretty lacking in basics place
gary won 11/08/2017 18:15The rate seemed very high for the quality and service. There was no coffee carafe in the room and when i mentioned upon checking out they seemed uncaring about the problem. The internet was down most of the night and probably only needed re-booting, but the desk clerk said she was not allowed to call anyone about the problem.
Not as bad as I thought
Julie Hon 09/08/2017 18:35From reading all the reviews, I was terrified to learn that my relative booked me in this hotel while traveling to Monroe for a funeral. So, I had very low expectations, which made me pleasantly surprised when we arrived.
Very friendly check-in, although had confusion with reservations.
Our room was nice enough. The carpet in room 221 blackened my bare feet, so perhaps some good carpet cleanings need to happen.
The free breakfast was better than expected as well.
There were a few minor inconveniences in our room, but none big enough to bother the front desk about.
My biggest complaint about this hotel is that it is overpriced. Over $100/nite (weekend), which is what I expect to pay in Atlanta (where I live), NOT Monroe. Especially considering that the "amenity" pool is not in service, and appears to have not been in years. If all amenities THAT ARE ADVERTISED are not available, then I believe it's more than fair to adjust (lower) the room rate. Kind of a rip off when you think about it.
